So many memories. I was 11 during the 79 season and i always missed the 1st half of the early games because i was at church. When i made it home me and my family would eat Sunday dinner and i would go in my mom's bedroom watching the NFL on NBC and the NFL Today. This country has come a long way from those times. Now you have cellphones and all types of devices where you can watch almost ALL levels of sports anywhere at anytime. 🏈🏈
This is probably the only time in 59 seasons the Cowboys wore their modern blue (1964) jerseys against the 49ers. They probably have worn their throwback (1960-1963) blues in the new millenium at least once or twice.
You are correct. The only other time was T-day 2008 when they wore the throwback pre-1963 dark jersey while hosting SF. They only played the 49ers once in dark jerseys prior to 1964.
This is awesome, takes me back to my youth
These are amazing. Thank you so much.

Dig Kellen Winslow giving John Jefferson a piggyback ride after the touchdown! That was priceless! 😆
😂
This was such a better place to live back then.
Absolutely awesome!!!!!
The Raiders-Chargers game was Jim Simpson’s last for NBC. He left to join ESPN, which hit the cable airwaves just 2 days earlier.
I just like the way Lindsey Nelson says "yard liiine" lol.
Dallas-San Francisco was the first game on natural grass at Candlestick Park
I remember the dallas SF game,
Thanks...these are special.
Stu nahan doing a football game interesting .
I sure miss those players, broadcasters and uniforms!
Me too !!

1980 NFC Championship at Philadelphia. Also Super Bowl V.

I didnt know Stu Nahan did play by play. I only know him from his interview with surfing star Jeff Spicoli.
It’s weird to think of Joe Montana and O.J. Simpson as teammates. 1979 was Montana’s rookie season and Simpson’s final year with the 49ers.
thank you. It reminds me of watching football with my mom and Dad.
Right there with ya Tex!
Best era of the NFL.
Without a doubt!!!

No...Murder......she wrote?
@@damien5138 Debuted on CBS in 1984.
Can't explain how much I really disliked all of these...solely because it meant Football was over for the day.
No way that Mike Washington pick-6 counts with today's replay. Not even close!
Go Browns!
The Kardiak Kids were great fun to watch.
1:09:37 Last time the Cowboys wore blue in San Francisco
Jim Simpson and Paul Maguire would soon join a new cable network called ESPN.
Simpson's last game called for NBC
ESPN ! 24 hour sports. It will never work :)
Funny I only see the sporting events now.
Back when Arrowhead had artificial turf
Nothing gets by you, huh?
This was Jim Simpson's last assignment for NBC.
Before the woke nfl
Touch grass, bud
I liked when Vin Scully called Football better than Baseball he kept things more brief not yippdy yapping like he did in Baseball.
Could you timestamp it please ?
@Da Hudge He talked too much when he called Baseball basically mentioning things that he only cared about in Football he was right on .
There's a lot more dead space to fill in a baseball broadcast.
