In Indiana, we go to Michigan to buy weed lol
And in Ontario we all go to Montreal on our 18th birthdays because the drinking age in 18 in Quebec lol
In Europe its "18" (literally everyone starts around 15)
In Manitoba you stay in Manitoba to drink at 18 then wait until 19 for the weed 🍺🍃

I grew up in Alberta Canada and the drinking age is 18 there. One of my friends actually turned 18 while we were still in high school so he could buy booze for everyone.

Worked at a grocery store and my manager would let me purchase beer when it was slow. 15 or 16. Went to the beach with a friend's family and got back to find my mother had found my stash and put it in the fridge.

Pennsylvania was fairly strict, even when I was in in high school in the late 80s/early 90s. Jersey was a lot more lax. All you really needed was a beard.

Pat, no matter the reaction, is usually wrong. The only safe way to do what Pat is advocating for ain’t at a commercial establishment. It’s at a family gathering where the adults are paying attention to their kids, cutting them off at two or three (depending on the type of drink) and modeling that same behavior. And I don’t fully agree with that approach, but the only safe way is what I just outlined. I’m always as annoyed by Pat’s idiocy as can be, he’s such a dumb reactionary in the wet majority of his takes. Calling him the Mac of their group is putting it mildly

When there is freedom of any sort then there can not be an absolute safe way. A family gathering would be the worst possible situation. Outside sources wouldn't have biases. They could over look things with objectivity. The majority of parents are not good at it. Please explain every other western country in the world. There can never be absolute safety in anything.

I had totally forgotten there was no legal age to drink in a bar, so I had never even thought about the possibilities. Though the age of consent in France at the time was 16. And 22 is a lot different from 28-30 of the characters on this show. RIGHT? 😂

Technically I prob had my first "beer" when I was like 8 or 9... But it had like 1.5% alcohol content and was very sweet, I didn't even realize it was alcoholic as a kid. it was pretty common to drink during holidays (my grandparents would give it to me).
