Hey, im a huge fan of the movies. I read the first 2 books when i was young. But i feel like im a bit to old to read all the books. Im almost 17. Do You think the books are childish? Or are they just as mysterious as the films?

Even 8-year old me thought the Half-Blood Prince was okay and nothing special when I first watched it in theatres. Now having read the book, damn the movie is disappointing to me now.
Reading the books I thought it was better than I originally thought lol, I think it is one of the better book to movie ones in the series, but it still definitely had problems.

Prisoner of Azkaban is by far the worst one. It's so anticlimactic and didn't really have any plot at all. Like this random dude at this world famous prison that wasn't mentioned in the first two movies even though it's supposed to be world famous is Harry's Godfather?? Super random movie that didn't even have Voldemort in it (who's the best character btw) Chamber of Secrets is the best movie, and the length of the movie doesn't matter, what matters is if it was good or not. @hadia ahmad Those are all good points. I meant the prison not being mentioned in the first two books/movies. Also it’s been awhile since ive read the books. I know Voldemort can’t appear in all of them, but the one’s when he does, just have so much more epic endings, and i think theyre better. I’m not saying Prisoner of Azkaban didnt make sense, but if i have to rank them all, i would rank it last

Prisoner of Azkaban is the best. It brought the darkness, the violence, even the horror to Hogwarts, the children heroes prepare their steps to the maturity (partly insinuated in The Chamber...). It would change the saga forever. So sad Richard Harris wasn't alive to see it...
I'm 38 and am re watching these now with my kids I remember not getting into the order of the phoenix when it came out but watched it again today and it's amazing up to part 6 now loving all these films again after watching the first one like 20 year's ago

The Order of the Phoenix is great with Dumbledore's Army, the Battle at the Department of Mysteries, Bellatrix is a great villain and the Battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort.
Hey Reese! I really love your vids and wanted to make a suggestion. The PJO series is amazing! It's about magic, God's powers , indestructible enemies. And I personally love it. It is incredibly amazing and since you're a Potterhead like me, im sure you'll love it too!
As far as Harry Potter movies go my favorite is the Order of the Phoenix and is my favorite of the books. After that it is Prisoner of Azkaban, then Sorcerer’s Stone then, Goblet of Fire, Chamber of Secrets Deathly Hallows Part 1, then Part 2 then Half-Blood Prince. The Goblet of Fire book I really like the Triwizard Tournament, but the movie was not as close to the book. Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows Part 2 was not as close to the books either.

I agree with Goblet of Fire. It was so much fun and Voldemort's Rebirth/Resurrection was the best part for me (maybe because I love dark and serious movies). Btw, *Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix* is my most favourite. I loved the dark tone and colouring of Half-Blood Prince outta all 8 movies. It's parts I like: I like the beginning till Harry's arrival at Ron's house; the whole part from Aragog's farewell to the ending, especially Dumbledore's death with Dumbledore's Farewell playing in bg (the best Harry Potter bg score, imo) and most of the Draco's scenes (btw there weren't many). Because of these parts of HBP, I used to thought it was one of the best Harry Potter movies. scenes But when I watched Movie Flame's analysis of HBP and I realized that the wrong thing about HBP was it's *focus on relationships* (which were not even portrayed that good) and *unnecessary humour* . Director and Writers should have mainly focused on *Snape, Tom Riddle, Draco, Death Eaters and Dumbledore* (and The Golden Trio is obvious) but they choosed to mainly focus on love side of the series in a movie which was supposed to be serious, dark and emotional. 12:58 The time travel shown PoA doesn't defy logic. It works in a causal loop which is hypothetically the most accurate way of time travel, much more accurate than Endgame's time travel (creation of alternate timelines).

Goblet of Fire is my least favorite book(I love all of them, but it is clearly my least fav) because I don't care for the tournament tasks. I like the other stuff going on at Hogwarts during the year. So it's also my least favorite movie, I really don't like how they cut out the spew storyline. And I was really disappointed with everything that was cut out of Prisoner of Azkaban. I was horrified about them not explaining about the mauraders being animagi. They could have done a better job with Snape scenes and the Memories. Snape is my favorite character and he deserved more.
Funny thing is I love deathly hallows part 1 more than 2... unpopular opinion
The sixth book is my favorite, this is why I'm so so disappointed with the sixth film. It' just don't focus on the main points of the story
