    If you look closely: Rufus Scrimgeour's body language shows that he was paying attention to Harry's snitch since he knew snitches have flesh memories and it contains something

    • @thomasw4506
      @thomasw4506 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      @James Stockdale it's a good theory. The only thing that is proven is: Voldemort tortured Rufus for info and Voldemort's death eaters would show up when anyone said Voldemort's name. But touching harry? Not sure. Maybe he handed harry the snitch with the cloth for formality purposes and to protect the snitch. He handed Ron the deluminator with a cloth wrapped around it.

    • @Unownzone

      Yeah I noticed it too! He was expecting for something to happen when Harry touched it, but got disappointed when nothing happened.

    • @SagBobet
      @SagBobet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Good point, although I find the cloth a weird addition, considering it is unnecessary once the snitch had been touched/caught the first time. But I never noticed the details of this scene until after I read the books. Scrimgeour is very suspicious of the items in Dumbeldore's Will.

    I didn’t like Rufus Scrimgeour, but I was very sad when I read that he was captured and horrifically tortured by Voldemort for information, yet he refused to give up Harry. What’s that saying, in their last moments people show you who they really are.

    • @divine_simplicity

      I mean what was his option??
      He would die anyway - Voldemort would’ve not kept him alive and he wanted Voldemort dead and believed Harry could might be the only chance to achieve that so he didn’t give off information not bc he cared for Harry but bc he cared for all the innocent people that had to die on Voldemorts hands!

    *Ron knew a book* that Hermione didn't! Funny, because Ron isn't a reader! 📚
    *Hermione knew about flesh memories* though she lacked much knowledge about Quidditch! 🏰🧹 2:32 You can see Hermione is edgy about Harry taking the Snitch afraid it might reveal its secret in front of the Prime Minister. 💼

      @@shangrencao1211 Hermione doesn’t know about the resurrection stone is inside the golden snitch. The only history I would at least Hermione know about would be the history of the golden snitch. Quidditch through the ages was not a story in the tale of beedle the bard. Quidditch through the ages is a separate book telling the story of the golden snitch and what it is. The resurrection stone was a secret that was not mentioned in the book. Just take it from me who has read all 7 books and the 3 library books (the tales of beedle the bard, quidditch through the ages, and Fantastic beasts and where to find them).

      To Ron , it was a book his mom would read to the Weasley siblings. It should be a core memory of his childhood... whereas the ones brought up in the muggle families heard about the stories of knights and princes and mermaids etc .
      Hermione, of course knew about flesh memories, because her two friends were always talking about quidditch near her and she is intuitive, so thought that something should happen here ..

      @@lukesmith720 Yes. In the books he was tortured for Harry's whereabouts and even though Scrimgeour knew Harry was at the Weasleys he never said anything which saved the Weasleys from being tortured as well and bought Harry more time. It has a bigger impact in the book since Harry and Scrimgeour have a huge fight for their final conformation at the end of this scene. It makes him sacrifice more meaningful. @@vikingthedude so first of all you need to know that the creator of snitch wears gloves while making the snitch. Once the snitch has been caught by the seeker it is preserved. The snitch won't open unless it receives the touch of the seeker who had caught it. Here the minister was expecting that once harry touches the snitch it would unveil the secret that Dumbledore probably would have tried to give through the snitch. But as you can see in the scene it doesn't open itself, if you remember how he caught his first snitch then you will know that it was in his mouth so the snitch would reveal the message once he keeps it in his mouth. He definitely seemed untrustworthy and not likeable too in the book version during this scene where he interrogates them about the items Dumbledore left them. However, after the wedding scene when Kingsley sends the Patronus to let them know the ministry has fallen it's later revealed that Voldermort tortured Scrimgeour to get the whereabouts of Harry which he didn't reveal, so Scrimgeour's last act before his death was to protect Harry.

    Book: To Ronald Bilius Weasley, I leave my Deluminator, in the hope that he will remember me when he uses it.

    • @Ranger1812
      @Ranger1812 4 ปีที่แล้ว +98

      Zealous It’s not just foreshadowing, it’s the truth.
      All of the messages Dumbledore left with his bequests were instructions disguised as personal messages.
      “in the hope that when things seem most dark, it will show him the light.”
      He disguised as hoping he uses the Deluminator well with its basic ability his hope that, if Ron walks out (because of the effect of the locket, lest we forget), the Deluminator will show him the ball of light from Hermione saying his name.
      “in the hope that she find it entertaining and instructive.”
      He disguises as the book being one of fun stories with morals the hope that she realises one of the stories (entertaining) will reveal information they need along with the sign the Deathly Hallows (instructive).
      “as a reminder of the rewards of perseverance and skill.”
      He disguises as a normal life lesson the wisdom and encouragement that they’re going to go through immense turmoil and tribulations, but they can do this immense task, as well as of course giving him a clue as to the mindset he’ll need to have, and hiding what Harry will need to help and comfort him as he walks to his supposed death.

      He didn’t only know he wanted it - he told Harry he can’t do it alone, that he needs his friends (Dumbledore said that to him in the books) and he was right - Harry would’ve already died in book 1 without his friends and he always did everything with them yet they never get enough credit only the famous Harry Potter. He wasn’t any more special than they were he had just became a Horcrux bc the death spell went against Voldemort and by killing you split your soul (and one part of his soul held on to Harry) so Harry couldn’t die bc of the love due the sacrifice of his mother (Voldemort could not love)
      - that’s it
      Without Hermione they would’ve died in deathly hollows already in the beginning since she healed Ron from splintering preventing him to blead out (Harry had no idea) .. having made all the preparations in the bag - the books, the tent etc .. she saved him from Voldemort disappeared etc

    To Ron the disluminator- Because Dumbledore knew we was hardheaded, hot tempered and would cause problems so he gave Ron a tool to guide him.
    To Hermione he left the storybook- He knew that the story of the three brothers, owners of the deathly Hollows, was there and she would figure it out.
    Harry the snitch- it’s obvious he knew the stone was there, since he had the cloak and knew was he was dead Voldy would go after the wand. He knew Harry would continue the journey and find a way to destroy Voldy. Plus, his portrait instructed Snape to give the sword to him so he could destroy the horucrux.

The minister for Magic visited the trio in the Burrow (the Weasleys house) and presented them items Dumbledore left for them to continue his hunt for Voldemort’s Horcruxs, Harry Potter was given the first snitch he has ever caught as a Quidditch seeker, Ron Weasley was given Albus’s Deluminator, Hermione Granger was given a book called the tales of Beedle the bard.
