Also wanted to add for anyone planning this section that the canal option has 3 portages around locks.
At the time (May 2022) the first lock, and part of the towpath on one side was closed for repair. That should be fixed by now though.

Well done on the River Oich. Best description on it that I have heard. Looks real fun and a bit scary.
