- My last week at camp in State College before heading out to Vegas. In this video, you get an inside look at my final week of prep before UFC 300. From wrestling practice, to conditioning, I go through exactly what I am doing to cut weight and get mentally prepared. I am a black man who has been training MMA since 1976 Bare knuckle and have been telling people for years that NCAA beats BJJ 8 out of 10 times. Let people see that! This is just one video, but from viewing this... Bo needs a striking trainer like Gaethje has. Someone who tells 'him' what to do, not the other way around, and who has top level knowledge to share. He needs to be training with strikers that can beat him instead of yes men, and training with competition that is not on par with UFC top ten guys. jmho. Probably this sort of opinion will be shrugged off or ignored until his first loss. btw- i like his wrestling, and I'm a big fan of his level in that area.
I was just thinking the same thing just before reading your comment. I use to train at same gym for 4 years and I can tell you his Maui Thai coach will not be told process of training.
I think he gets the bulk of his hard spars in Florida against Marvin Vettori and other good guys, it’s fight week he’s not trying to push himself too hard

Dude, it's such a good thing to see a wrestler making an effort to throw elbows and strikes other than just pure hands. Combine that with calf kicks and teeps, and I don't see Bo losing, after he gets 4 more fights under his belt.

You don't need no more amateur bantamweights in your gym man they're not helping you in anyway it'd be good if you had guys like Johnny Eblen or Marvin Vettori with you, but if it's not guys in that caliber and weight, you shouldn't accept more members in your gym

Trying to hype up his career and fight by talking trash to a wrestler that did what he v=never could. Bo went to UFC after he realized how easily guys like David Taylor could beat him in freestyle. He just b=never leveled up in wrestling so UFC was his only real choice. He didn't choose MMA - he tried to get to the Olympic and failed. Huge difference between that and actually choosing MMA.
You have a point but still MMA MAKES money NOT amateur wrestling. Unless you talking about catch wrestling ( the forerunner to freestyle and folkstyle wrestling) where there is some professional competition ( kind of like real pro wrestling).
I have seen SOME amateur wrestlers successfully goes into MMA AFTER amateur wrestling. Like Laetitia Blot who won TWO gold medals at French amateur wrestling championships. Also made it to the world amateur wrestling championships in Paris. Didn't win in Paris but at least try. But Laetitia Blot DID win gold at judo world championship as well as sambo world championship with bronze 🥉 medal. She started in judo, then freestyle wrestling, and then sambo. After all that she went into MMA.
Laetitia Blot ultimate goal is to get into UFC. Kind of like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar.
@@tichtran664 Not true - most Olympic gold medal wrestlers are able to spin their 15 minutes of fame into million dollar incomes. Kyle Dake is worth several million and he has never won an Olympic gold medal. He was a 4X NCAA champ though.
@@RyanDeakin-sx5vn Anyway if UFC had a absolute division Laetitia Blot WILL destroy Kayla Harrison. LOL. With her training in judo, freestyle wrestling, sambo, bjj( now for MMA), Luta Livre ( catch wrestling and judo. For MMA). Probably could also compete in nogi bjj and maybe catch wrestling.
