I don't know why they decided to not make a "Battle Stage 3" about the 5th and Final Stage after the show ended though. All of the scenes got different songs in the OVAs and they are mostly hit-or-miss. Overall both OVAs are pretty good to watch.

they mention really early on (like e4-5) that if you’re good enough you don’t need ABS, it’s all a matter of pedal work and controlling your entry speed via weight transfers. Tak’s Inertia Drift (AKA the Scandinavian Flick) is a perfect example of this, you don’t need to hit the brakes that hard to initiate a sudden weight transfer like he does. It’s been rare but I’ve flicked out the rear end of my modernish FF using a similar ish method and ABS didnt kick in at all. It’s entirely possible to do what he does without modern day advanced systems (iirc the Calsonic R32 had ABS removed for weight purposes.) racers functioned just fine without them for quite some time, it’s just a convenience (and safety) matter to keep it in the car.

Basically braking beyond the turn-in of the corner and then gradually releasing the brakes while doing quick steering, which explains how Takumi was able to turn while braking and the slip angle turn. Edit: at 1:52 he brakes, slowly releases, then steers quickly to the left.
