In this video I will show an example of a solo muntuno. at first I play the solo with my right hand while my left hand plays the role of the Tumbao. in the second part I will show you how to play the solo of the right hand at a very low speed.

Good montuno! I had to write out the chord progression and then it was easier. Love to hear thus when pianists play it fast. Latin music, Puerto Rican, newyorican & Cuban piano is a rich tradition and such good music. Timba & Salsa. Just want to dance! Just love the jam between congueros and pianists. So hot! Just found u! Your stuff is already very useful, and it is just only a request. Do listen on: I am trying to comp as keyboardist for mambo influenciado. Because there is already a bassist, i would like to know:
What i can do with both hands to complement WITH the bassist already doing the tumbao (i just learned the + of 2 and the 4 accent is a tumbao!) what shd my left hand do if not the tumbao?
Could u do a tutorial for comping on mambo influenciado?

Rootless voicings (L n R hands together) and montunos are great for that tune, or rather any Latin tune.
It would be cool to see a tutorial on that.
