    For beaches, you should download an invisible foot path. Turn it into a nature reserve so you can use it's assets, eg the fishing pier and the tents as beach tents. That way the beach will be used rather than just a decoration.

      If this could also work on grass so footpaths aren't always gravel/concrete I think that would be really cool too.

    Bus lines need to be shortened. Perhaps use the hopper bus to run people to a tram stop and back or new routes into the bus station? Looking forward to seeing use of the more challenging terrain. Great video as always

    Love this episode!! Good job Biffa ;) A little suggestion, instead of getting the red and green bus lines go to Cherry Point, I think it would be great to create an express bus route directly to the Central bus station so to fully utilise the main bus station ;)

    • @TheBenMJones
      @TheBenMJones 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Seconded--Those red and green lines should go back to where they were at the top of the episode, and a new bus line could come from Cherry point, via the edge of the new district where the first new bus stops were, and then interface with the tram/red+green busses before hitting the central bus station--it's such a wonderful build, that bus station; use it to it's max potential!

  • @Meda22

    Btw with new district style mod, the styles are affecting only zone types for which they contain some buildings ;) meaning if you have style with residential buildings only, other zone will spawn buildings from general “default” style (all buildings list). So no need to cut out any holes to district :) (like in Cherry Point one)

    Hey Biffa, a few videos ago you showed that with the intersection marking tool you can add trees in roads (far better than simply placing the props down). Could you use this feature a little bit more? You could have more freedom while choosing your roads and still have trees while doing so (it's also a way to maintain coherency); maybe you could create an asset so that you can very easily add those tree markings in without having to go through the process every single time.

  • @m99marine
    @m99marine 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    In all your builds, you consistently just keep adding stops to your existing bus loops, without increasing the amount of busses on the loop. Small suggestion, make more loops so your bus loops aren't so long, and you then wouldn't have lots of people waiting at all the stops.

  • @dmore
    @dmore 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It might be an idea to change the section of roads with all the switch backs to a local road to reduce the speed! Otherwise sims will be taking those sharp corners at highway speed! 😮
    Adding some barriers (zoo fence) around the corners would be realistic too. Protect the sims from accidents! 🙂

    I've wondered for a long time, do we need a mod that prevents crazy road inclines? A road realism checker? Too tight turns, roads lorries/cars cant make, highway ramps that are impossible, etc. Too easy to cheat ;)

  • @ThunderlipsJoeYT

    If you're getting the weird tree behavior when loading games where they just show up in roads and things, there's an old conflict between prop and tree anarchy and prop and tree line tool that used to cause floating trees and props. Test by turning off prop tree line tool and reloading the save... If I remember correctly that solves the tree misbehavior on load.
    Obviously the prop and tree line tool is awesome BUT having to mess with millions of random trees and props everytime you load into a new save it's a lesser of 2 evils thing.

    I don't know what the issue is with hills. I live in one of the hilliest cities in the US. My house is located at the bottom of a hill with the street continuing uphill. My neighbors across the street from me live up higher than I do.
    Some of those steep grades aren't unusual for a street. My driveway so happens to be a 22% grade and the street above me is an 20% grade. I'm glad I don't live up there because we get ice and snow in the winter. That hill is 328 feet at its peak with a radio tower on the top.

    Something I learned when I did switch backs is if you add an asymmetrical road on the way up you can via traffic manger have one side for trucks only letting cars pass (bit more realistic) and letting the potential emergency vehicles pass as well.
