I worked with Carol and her daughter 20ish yrs ago on a "Touched by an Angel" episode. I was an extra and she was just as wonderful to everyone as lowly as we were, as she was to everyone in the crew. Her daughter too. Absolutely wonderfully kind and funny

I wouldn't say starstruck. I'd say Jimmy has a familial affection for Carol Burnett. She's very loved in Hollywood - and beyond - because she was self-made and stayed decent. She's a case study of how we prefer things to be.

I guess Millennials all kind of were aware of her still from being in reruns on TV during childhood and have respect for her as an entertainer from their parents generation. Now Millennials are trying to let Gen Z know who she is before she's gone.

My employer is a 90 year old woman who is highly wheelchair dependent (I'm kind of her legs). She reads The New York Times and fully does its crossword puzzle every day. Contrary to popular belief, there is *Not* an age at which someone is automatically drooling into her/his oatmeal. Old age does *Not* = Dementia.

She's incredible at 91. When I was a kid, me and my mom would watch The Carol Burnett Show on Saturday nights. I loved how Carol and the cast would try not to lose it whenever they did scenes with Tim Conway. Man, I miss those days.

@@ZYX261 I remember the elephant story in the doctor's office. He told it with Harvey Korman. It broke up Korman and made him double over from laughter. It makes me laugh whenever I think about it.

You and me both, Adam. Along with Ed Sullivan, Carol was our nightly TV in the 60's and early 70's. She had Tim, Harvey, Vicki and Lyle who just made the show so much a joy to watch! It was a great time to be alive with wonderful people who just wanted to make people laugh.
One of the funniest things I've ever seen was the comedic ballet she did to Swan Lake when her show went to the Sidney Opera House in Australia.

Carol Burnett is an ICON! I remember being 6 and my whole family would gather around the TV and watch the "The Carol Burnett Show" and all of us just laugh till our side hurt. 58 years late she is still making my sides ache with laughter.
So heartwarming to see Jimmy lend his arm to Carol when he noticed she was hesitating navigating the distance to the desk. She is someone I grew up watching and admiring and she deserves all the respect she receives.

I never bought anything from television marketing but one night at 3 am I see a infomercial for the carol burnett show collection and it is the only thing in my 55 year old life that I ever purchased from tv and never been happier with that decision.
