I am sure this has its place....but it will never replace a real lightweight engraver handpiece. This foredom handpiece is way to long and heavy to do very fine light work for several hours. Usefull for the jeweler that needs to do smaller engraving jobs once in a while ...but not on a day to day basis.
And this is exactly what I’m looking for because I want to learn more about engraving and I’m just not sure about doing engraving and if it’s for me. I’ve spent my whole life as a graphic designer and I’ve always had a fondness of letters and form. I loved doing calligraphy long ago so I’ve wanted to try doing a bit of engraving to seeing if it’s something I’d want to incorporate in my jewelry designs; I do a lot of stamping, especially using Navajo stamps. I think this is retry cool. I do agree that it looked a bit awkward to me seeing him holding the hammer hand piece as he did as I’d prefer holding it like a pencil. 👩🏼🎨🌵🔨
@@moicaghandmade3807 It’s hard to see, but the tool holder has a larger thread than the H15 handpiece…This hammer handpiece needs an adapter to take the H15 bits… There is a tool holder that takes graving bits and screws direct into the H15…you’ll find it here on TH-cam It’s made by Pepe tools…called the Lion punch…Cheaper ones are available…
Well, $1420.oo will buy this 'set up'. However, it is not intendef for a person engraving all things engraveable fir many hours in a day. Its' design and functionality would leave disappointed, the engravers who depend on good engineering to earn profits/professional results. Although air system is over double this cost, it will provide for best available, with some home made models say 1/3 or 1/2 @ lower than minimum air system.
I WANT!!!!!! Beautiful!!!! Thank you Foredom and Rio Grande for this informative demonstration. Again, I WANT!!!!
You will love it!
This video was very helpful guys!!!! Thank you so much 🤍
I already have a hammer hand piece, where do I buy that adapter for engraving blades?
Can u still use this for rotating motion tool like drill for example?
It looks like it works good. Thanks.
You are welcome!

Thank you for the feedback.
Yeah I can’t see using this even for something like a letter or two. It’s not going to replace Lindsay, GRS or Tira’s Pulsegraver
Hello, is it possible to do the same with the SR flex shaft motor - H.15 Hammer Handpiece?
Hello! Thank you for your question! Yes you can.
@@RioGrande1944 Are you sure? because on their official website they say it doesn't fit 🙄😔

👍👍👍♥️
Maybe for a hobbyist who just wants to do a few scratchings, otherwise far too cumbersome
I think the hand piece is too long
Thanks for the feedback!
This is much to long…cumbersome and awkward to use for intricate work
Just learn to engrave with a proper burin - none of this stuff is necessary
meh
By the time you screw on the graver chuck and then add the graver, it's way too long to bright cut effectively, imho.
