Paul Kneen talks about his painting 'A peace of art'
The original Artworks are to be auctioned on 7th May 2022 by Batemans Auctioneers of Stamford, Lincolnshire. The money raised is going to the Action Aid DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help people affected by the war in Ukraine.
About the Painting: ‘A ‘peace’ of art’ was created on Sunday 13th March in Red Lion Square, Stamford as part of the Korpfest paint festival. Measuring 8ft x 4ft, it was painted in just 5 hours using spray paint, stencils, acrylic paint and marker pens.
“We’ve all witnessed the horror of what is happening in the Ukraine. So, when I was invited to participate in the paint festival I knew I wanted to create something that discussed the dreadful situation. What I didn’t anticipate was the incredible reaction the painting would receive from people visiting the event”, said Paul.
