@@somekindofsupernovai think it really depends on what kind of music you like, since they have so many genres. if you like more hard hitting/ loud songs, i’d say SSICK, Give me Your TMI, Any, ITEM or Freeze. but if you like softer or more pop songs, i’d say Chill, Collision, Secret Secret, EX, FNF or Waiting For Us (though it doesnt have all the members). thanks for asking 🥰🥰

1:35 Fun Fact😂 that's Changbin's actual gritty voice. He's an incredibly skilled rapper and vocalist and is able to do crazy things with his tone and inflection.
Its a skill he does with his vocals, Tristan didnt mean it was edited if thats what you mean. Changbin has great control over various ways he can use his voice, especially obvious when you contrast the loud, big, rapping with the distortion/grit and his ability to sing in a very bright and clear tone when he wants to.

1:20 That distortion on Changbin's voice actually isnt distortion at all. He has that natural type of grit to his voice especially when he's rapping 6:14 Yea it's not cgi. All of the different settings you see in the mv were all built in the same building. I think you should definitely upload your other reactions. You should also react to "Cover Me" and "Leave" which are both from the same album and they're both vocal based songs, so I would LOVE for you to react to those

He doesn’t mean an edited/auto tuned distortion, but an intentional distortion/style intentionally made by the skilled vocalist

yea distortion is like a type of vocal skill you add on top of your natural voice so definitely tristan recognizes that binnie is doing that on purpose
It makes me so happy to see you react to stray kids again! I would LOVE to see you react and get your opinion on Felix’s solo song Deep end, he’s the blue haired member with the deep voice. The song shows so much of his vocal range from very, very low to a really pretty falsetto. Most people that react to it don’t even think it’s the same person haha

Stray Kids have invented their own completely new genre (mala tang) which is basically a beautiful Frankenstein of mixed sounds and feelings. They write and produce their own music too, so everything is 100% intentional! A breath of fresh air honestly. I'd absolutely LOVE to see you react to more of their songs.

Loved the video! Just to clarify, in Kpop when a group is "coming back" that just means that they are releasing new music and preforming on music shows again. This is because in kpop there is like a 2 to 3 week period after new music is released of promoting with interviews and other shows specifically for that new song, album, EP, etc. So groups and artists tend to have multiple comebacks in a year. Most of the time groups comback once in the beginning of the year and once at the end for award show purposes. Hope that helps things to not be so confusing!

watch their studio sessions!! watching them as producers is wild to see hjow talented they are - there's 3 members of the group that have a sub group called 3racha and for most of their music they compose, write lyrics and produce all their music - along with choreography from other members and all having distinct skill sets that make stray kids so talented as a group and different to standard kpop groups managed by their companies.
also listen to their ballads! great range of their vocals + try listening to Leave live
tristan i think you'd love to see skz behind the scenes not only for their mvs because it's all real not cgi that's a real set with a big ship and 150 performers , dancers , marching band , orchestra all there , but you should also watch their intros where they recording, you have to watch how their own members direct each other in the recordings it's truly impressive , hope someday you'll get to that , anyways you should definitely react to their bsides leave and cover me

BTW. Its a set they made so nothing is cgi expect for the video editing but the overall set is real.
They also write and produce their own music.
And yeah with the Comebacks…there are so many kpop groups in Korea and that means also a lot of competition, so they need to do a lot with Comebacks, Music, Shows and concerts, to get and keep a lot of fans and also get bigger!

Stray Kids' music is so unique and has their own originality mix of sounds that may not be familiar or liken at the 1st listen to a lot of people. But you will get use to this sound and grow to love it the more you listen.

They released a short documentary on the making of the music video, where you can see that huge set being built. There's as little CGI as they could manage, since they have the budget they will use practical effects as much as possible, as it reduces the need for post-production, and generally looks better .
As for the term 'comeback', it's just the Korean term for new releases, that generally come with their own promotion period ; it's just a loan word that does not mean the same thing as it does for Western music artists. There are some other terms that are used differently in kpop that they would be in the West, like "album" (= any physical release not just a studio album, that's why there's "single albums" and "mini albums") or "lead vocalist" (what you would call "lead" is "main" in kpop, lead vocalists are not as proficient as main vocalists even if they still get plenty of parts).

Please post your other Stray Kids reactions! 😭 To help you out a little: the raspy voice was Changbin, the smoother voice that you contrasted him with was Bang Chan, and the deep voice was Felix. I remember seeing in the song credits, that it used a sample from Cubeatz (one of the producers on the song) so I'm wondering if that same beat was used in the gigachad song. I wanna look into that now ngl. Also loved the faces you made at Bang Chan's falsetto and the overall climax at the end 😂
