- Well dang, since when does a single person break 6 digits on this show? The only time that's happened daytime is the S35 premiere (we all know that one, $147517) and finale (Bob's last show, $140235), so this is a DREW CAREY HIGH.

Hi everybody! Contestant Judy here, WayoshiM, thanks for posting this vid, because I was out of town and wasn't able to catch the episode on TV! Dude, I didn't even hear Drew's explanation of the Secret X. There was a lot going on at the moment, and studio noise. No idea we were playing tic tac toe until late in the game, so just went on audience responses about where to put Xs! The audience totally helped me to lock in Athens! That explains why I was doing such confusing things there! :)

She was on TV this week on HLN. She's a psychologist who appears occasionally on Dr. Drew. She actually has quite a lot of television experience.
Found out myself, yes it is. The other two biggest winners were on the 35th season premiere ($147,517) and on Bob's final show ($140,235).

Well, it did happen on Christmas Eve 2004, when Brooke won both of those showcases including a ski boat and a Ford Explorer (she could tow the boat with that).

$101,244 worth of prizes then the 3rd highest daytime winner. It’s not that common for contestants to break six figures on daytime price. In my years watching Price, I’ve seen two or three contestants break seven figures on that show, but those contestants were on the nighttime version of show.
You wanna know what would've been perfect? Getting it right on the nose on either Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day!

This was just like what happened exactly six years ago, on the last Friday Christmas Eve show. Brooke was a DSW winner, winning $72,750. A Joseph was also on the showcase as the top winner.

So as Drew said $49 thousand, she knew she had won it but the second part of the actual retail price was when it hit her that she had won both showcases...that was some kind of Christmas present
I wanna see a show where finally both contestants are off by the same amount so both win their respective showcases!!
I would imagine the totals almost always have different digits for the last two numbers. Since most people don't try to be specific on the last two digits, that makes it pretty much impossible. For example, if they ended in 75 and 10, then the winners would have to make bids ending something like 50 and 85, which is extremely unlikely.
well i will add that judy was the 3rd highest winner in TPIR history...which she won $101,244....but the highest winner to date was a lady who won both showcases on the 35th season premiere of TPIR with Bob Barker and she won $147,517....here are the 3 highest total cash and prizes won on TPIR

A woman won a million in 2008, but that was the nighttime version. These totals are in the daytime version and in ten years. The top 3 winners have changed.

SHe took some time figuring out where to place her X's, including putting them near the question mark squares, and in the middle row. Seems to be Secret X is almost never won with the Secret X on the bottom, but was on this show. Double Prices apparently was played at Door #3 for the first time since Fall 1999, probably due to it being played right after Pay the Rent. ALso, the third highest daytime TPIR winner occurs on the same day Tom Nissley leaves J! as its third-highest regular game winner
@bhuang8 If it had been the pre-Season 38 podium, it would have listed "1244" or "01244" but I don't know what it would have written. The screens allowed $101,244 to be listed.

There definitely was one in 2004 after Brooke won a Ford Explorer and a ski boat. But that edition had big wins, including two car wins, one of which was a Cadillac DeVille.

How do you get double showcase?
You have to be within $250 of the ARP of your showcase. Back then, you had to be less than $100 away.

The current DSW rule is that the difference between the Actual Retail Price and the person's bid must be $250 or less.
