A BGG user has pointed out that for the cards that say "I want to make sure no one sees the face of...", the guest who has this card in their envelope MUST be involved in blocking that other guest's face. The text of the card doesn't say that, but the Photography Guide included in the game does state this. I wish the card text had been more specific, but I thought I could at least pass along this detail that is easy to overlook. -WEM

Having played this a number if times I completely agree with this. The logical puzzle part is really fun, but the mechanisms aren't. Its as if someone came up with a cool game idea and then asded basic party game mechanisms around it to make a game. Its a fun family Christmas game if no one takes it seriously

Thanks as always for the review/overview.
Seems like an interesting take on the Uluru/Pelican's Cove/Tumult satisfy-the-conditions design, up to and including being set around a table. I'm actually a huge fan of Tumult, having imported the game from Denmark multiple times as I've gotten friends hooked. The "advantage" there is that everyone has the same information... but the game is timed, so it's a whole different ball of wax. I'm curious as to whether you've played any of Lauge Luchau's games like that, Eric; I know Dimension was kinda big for a while.

I've played Dimension four times and really enjoy it - but I didn't think of that game in relation to Picture Perfect, probably because of its real-time nature.
Rushing to complete a level feels very different from the think-at-your-own-pace nature of PP, especially in how you build up information round by round, adjusting your "notes" to try to fit in as many guests as possible. -WEM

@@boardgamegeek Yeah, Dimension isn't as obvious a match as Tumult, which is literally "sitting people down at a table given specific desires," but obviously the real time vs. round-based structure is wildly different between the two. I was mostly just curious, as having played Tumult a bunch I immediately thought of it when I saw this video.
I think the party-game part of this would make the logic side of me very salty, so I don't think Picture Perfect is for me, but I'm glad people are gamifying this sort of thing.

I think you’re right on the money. Picture Perfect is just a long, drawn out version of Uluru/Pelican’s Cove.
      Pass!

Eric, you have to have a setting up and tear down segment now.

Ha, thanks for asking! For this game, all player components are in separate bags since you don't interact with others' guests. The tables are upside down in the box, with a bag of guests sitting inside each one. -WEM
