Hey team just goes to show it's super important to have an emergency plan in place as well as an emergency kit. I was in my hometown of Christchurch for the first earthquake and made my way home to my parents place where my Dad had a full emergency kit in place - torches, food, blankets, water, whistles. He was ready and I know I'll be in the future.
the initial earthquake was in 2010, but it was not extremely severe. After months of aftershocks, another earthquake ocurred in 2011 that brought the city crashing down
so people...got ya emergency kit ready yet?? and not just in Christchurch! what would you do if a natural disaster happened in your city? where will you meet your family? Cell phones may be down...
Watching this 2025 it still moves me. Unfortunately the memories will fade. I have never heard the conclusion of the CTV building inquiry.
It’s so sad to me that, 10 years later, the Cathedral is still like that.
🤔 Try coming back in another 10 - 20 years time. And it will still look like that !.
I Am A Christchurch Lad Born and Bred.

Christchurch be proud of your wonderful recovery. You are again a most beautiful City.
As long as you don't count the east side of ChCh, it's still pretty much a mess all these years later
@@cherylwilson8743Try coming back to the East side of Christchurch in another 10 to 20 years time , and it will still look the same !..........😮
@@alancrisp1582 I live in new brighton so yeah, well aware how bad it is even now.
Sad for the people who moved to Kaikoura, and ended up in another massive quake.

Did the guy whose mother worked at the CTV building, find her ?
Sadly no. Not the husband looking for his wife. Heart breaking.
If his mums surname was also Wayne, she wasn’t in the list of deceased. But it may not have been. Few were saved from that building.
going based off the time probably not, the last person rescued was 22 hours after the earthquake, the clip seems like it was the middle of the day
Aaron Wayne's mother name was Susan Chuter. She did not survive.
