I like the upgradability options for this Vortex machine. Hope it can be upgraded well beyond the VX9 version in the future.
Yes that is definitely a nice feature to have. Wish my lab would have done that with the 6 and 800 instead of creating all new machines with the 7 and 900

If I get another detector it would most likely be the Vortex.
Kind of upset with Minelab because a year or so after releasing the X-Terra Pro they came out with the X-Terra Elite.
I hope Minelab comes out with more more software upgrades in the future for the X-Terra Pro.
And for the 6 and 800s
Well his is where I think Garrett “screwed the pooch”…. Mine-lab recently released the new X-Terra Elite. They already had this item to some of the TH-camrs prior to release and had videos ready to go for the date of release to coincide either release date. Since Garrett released the vortex, no one is posting videos hunting with this item. I think this was a sales marketing flop on their part. Again. Not bad mouthing the detector. But I have been impatiently waiting for reviews from TH-camrs with no luck. Just my opinion.
I believe only some of the Garrett team got the machines. Apparently not all but I know KG, Gypsy and Adventure archeology Got them and have put out videos
I had the triple score before release , the package it comes with for £469 , includes 2 coils , Bluetooth headphones full carbon shaft and more features than the vx9.
I really can not see this standing up to the competition

@@HistoryRevisitedukyes, but can the Triple Score see more than one item at a time? Does it measure both ferrous and conductive properties in a way visible to the end user? These are Garrett’s selling points.
