  • After a 4 year absence I am painting a figure once again! We will look at brush painting clothing with AK 3rd Generation Acrylics and shading flesh with some oil paints.
    Nothing too special but maybe some of you can learn something new today. I will be painting more figures soon.

    DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated.

    Great looking commander figure, it will enhance the overal appearance of the Afrikakorps PzIII. One tip: you can mix a darker blue wash with acrylic gloss and accentuate the binoculars lens parts, it will make a realistic area and a nice contrast with overal flat paints.

    If this guy is a tank commander...in the desert...shouldn't he be more on the tan side of things? Skin tone is great for November in Russia. Lol. Generally it looks really good, especially for your first figure in a few years.

    I would like to know how do you deal with all the liquid that first comes out of the Wilder oil paints? I would also like to know how much time you allow after the base color? So that the base color is dry before you put the oil paint on the figurine? I really liked the video and am trying to paint my very first ever figurine. So far with out any luck at all. I plan to keep trying just the same.

    Hi, I'm waiting for this video. I think it's very fit to that diorama of Africa Korps. Well, 4 years absence, I don't believe it.

    I bought that one shot primer to try it, the red oxide one it was ok to start with but it's not a nice primer! It really doesn't like the vallejo or life colour thinners I use it just clumps up slightly but more than enough to block my airbrush! Maybe it's something in the oxide one that's doing this I never see the issue with the grey or black

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not supposed to thin one shot. It's supposed to be sprayed straight on. It's also lacquer based so mixing in a latex-acrylic thinner like Vallejo is not going to go well.

    • @Emtbtoday
      @Emtbtoday 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Panzermeister36 many peop thin it on TH-cam ive seen and always works with them but I think your maybe right about it being lacquer based it does say on the bottle it's waterbased I'll try it with the AK thinner and see if that works better! My one needs thinned it's way to think for airbrush eh!
