    I'm 73 and following the music score with the performance is a physical exercise for my eyes. Astonishing. Thank you!

      Respect! Although Segovia had his show on the road at 21 and quit at around 90 lesser mortals fade much earlier.
      The Tambora intro can be played by flicking straight i&m against each other for a more even string contact .
      This may be a quieter option but I'm retired and still not ready to fill stadiums.
      Your words inspired me to respond!

      You are casting a spell.....'
      We nourish our oversoul by creativity not exact repetition.
      I loved and memorised this piece in my twenties,and 40 yrs later love learning the interpretation of others still,
      Agreed with your request.

    The pulsation of Piazzolla's Nuevo Tango can only really be understood once you have spent a good amount of time in Buenos Aires. It's the intense pulse of that unbelievable city... Too intense for some, but no passion can feel more intense than that lived on the shores of that city. Love and passion come at you, at speed, along those enormous avenues.

    3:44 you play a bflat in the chord. shouldn't it be a b as indicated in the sheet? thank you for help

    • @musiconyou
      @musiconyou 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not wanting to belittle the quality of Alexandra's performance, it also seems to me that it would be a "b" and not a flat "b"?!

    • @GuitarVictor
      @GuitarVictor 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The piece is in D-/F, a key with only one flat, that being “b”; which means any b you happen to see in the score would be a flat, unless specified to be anything else.

    I like Alexandra. She doesn t flower stuff up with mindless patter like a lot do. She keeps it simple and calls a spade a shovel. I like her humility and sense of humour. She will often play herself down but she s a marvellous player.

    Thank you always for showing your beautiful and wonderful guitar skill. Inspired by your beautiful classical guitar, I have started playing it recently. I used to play acoustic guitar and electric guitar when I was student, but all of my musical instruments were destroyed by the big tsunami and earthquake ten years ago, so I am quite rusty. However, I have been practicing Cullare La Tempesta, watching your video, and it has been getting better and better. My wife and I always enjoy your videos with your selection of music. If you got a chance, I would like you to show how to read music sheets for guitar without TABs one day :)

    thanks for this great video... i'm learning this song so it's really helpful to see you go through it.. one question .... on bar 5 and 6, you play a B flat instead of a B.. it certainly makes the fingering easier, just wondering if that was on purpose... i also signed up for tomplay too ( unfortuantely, your code expired, but thats ok )..

    Is the tambura technique able to be played with mid-high tension carbon strings? I ask you because I tried tambura with a Knobloch Actives CX and the percussion over the strings make no sound at all! Asking just for curiosity I'm a newbie guitar learner and probably I'm doing wrong. Thanks

    ¡Gracias querida por semejante tango!... Al menos por intentarlo.
    From 9:00 to 10:11, me trying to play guitar while I'm reading the partiture, when I'm not reading a partiture... basically, every time. We can play together in a concert, just think about it! 🤣.
    "Rasgueado", just forget about the 'u' when you pronounce it, it has no sound in 'gue' and 'gui'. Think about "Rasgeado" (wrong spelling, by the way).

    I'm having fits with bar 26 - on the last 4 eight notes, AECD, do you take these with 4,3,4,1 (bar) on strings 1,2,3,2 - it looks like you are doing something else? Does anyone have an edition with fingering/strings you can recommend?

    • @joestephens7105
      @joestephens7105 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK, I figured it out. I see how Alexandra makes it look so easy. She starts bar 25 with "2" on the "C" on the 3rd string. I was using 3. 2 is a stretch, but it's possible, and it not only sets up the correct fingering on the 5th fret, but it helps the barre chord when you need the "D", by turning the "1" finger sideways.

    Libertango music is catered for the Advance player and needs a lot of legato flow and chord changing. I think the students can not follow without studying the music score first and isolate and practice the difficult sections. the actual speed is too difficult to learn until students master gradual tempo.

    Sorry for being novice enough not to "get" what the roman numbers in the clef are? At first I figured they'd have to do with degrees of the key, but then those might be written as "solfa" thenagain. So yeah, I was rendered novice to not know what they are. I read so slow I suffer from no easily accessible chords for the song and I don't even know if the key is Am. Anyone?
