Tossing Sevatar is unforgivable. both during the heresy and potentially in the current setting, that wacko could make the night lords have the attention they deserve, also since it wouldn't hurt Talos and the warbands storyline. There's too much compliance in the black army and his acquaintances.
Unfortunately for the thought of Sevatar in 40k, Astartes still age and wear down. Unless GW fridges him in the Warp (which would have its own issues) Sevatar would be truly ancient.

@@Xynth25 , it's a thing to take in consideration, but remember that the eye of terror is not inside the warp. It's just a place where the barrier between both planes is really thin. Most traitors lived there after the heresy and stayed there until the fall of Cadia. Why I mention this? Because for these guys, these past 10k years have NOT been that long for them. 2 examples I could think are in the black legion books and Ahriman's series as well. In both, there's dialogue about how was for them when they travel outside the eye. What for Sigismund was almost 1thousand years, for the black legion was something like a decade or two. Unfortunately, most traitors have been "blessed" with chaos, which definitely extends their lifespan. Iron warriors and thousand sons are the least chaos imbued, and in both cases there are alive astartes who were part of the heresy. Given all of this, it's feasible for me to imagine a Sevatar aged like the lion is right now. Dreadnought I could almost confirm it's not the case, since in the nightlords books the unaccountable fate of Sevatar is present, and stuff like dreadnoughts are a thing that cannot be unknown, even for the madmen the NL are
Lord Curze’s truth shall be made manifest. A galaxy united not by the lies of the imperium or chaos, but through the only force mankind understands: FEAR.
The Night Lords trilogy also mentions that Talos was often unaware of just how corrupted the Night Lords had become. They are certainly far less corrupted than the other traitor legions, but they aren't immune to their father's wilfull self-delusion.
It helps that unlike the Thousand Sons, the Night Lords didn't have to contend with the flesh change and in the current setting, their psychopathic Primarch is dead whereas the Thousand Sons still have their psychopathic Primarch who also happens to be an egomaniacal demon space wizard. Furthermore, no Night Lord was turned into a dusty golem.
I wouldn’t call Magnus Psychopathic, maybe just because people always say that for mental illness and writing and it is really, really narrow minded. It lacks nuance. He doesn’t really have too many psychopathic traits. I would probably say it for Angron pre-fall, maybe, but not for Magnus. Also, Magnus didn’t do the Rubrics, that was Ahriman. And tbh, the fact that exists in the setting is among the dumber things in 40k tbh. Edit: Same for Konrad btw, even though he technically fits more. But Konrad also has some other traits that fit into other illnesses. And Konrad gets a partial pass because he sees visions basically all the time. I cant say with good logic and conscience he is a psychopath when you constantly see the future, but it is basically worse then Perturabo who saw the eye of terror since birth.
@@twenty-fifth420 i would say Magnus is troubled because hes still missing like 50% oh his shards so that also affects his wellbeing i think magnus at 80% would be more stable and interesting and probably trying to undo his Daemonication at some point

Hey MK, have you thought about making a video of what the chaos primarchs would do if they came back, loyalist, instead of Guilliman? Thought it could be fun.
Decimus didn't unite the Legion against the Imperium though. Decimus had his sights well set on Craftworld Ulthwe. And then they decided to NEVER AGAIN mention that whole plot point. This meeting took place right before Abaddon threw a castle at Cadia. It's about time we get an update on the Night Lords little own genocide against a Craftworld. Dear Majorkill, thank you very much for releasing a Night Lords video on my 23rd Birthday - as a son of The Eighth, this brought a smile to my face : )
In my opinion, when the galaxy burns and humanity vanishes into the gaping maw of chaos, the last remaining Space Marine is gonna be a Night Lord looting the body of the second last Space Marine, who was probably also a Night Lord.
Thanks for another fascinating video! You always make some interesting content. I actually just discovered your videos summarizing alternate heresies a little while ago, and they were some of my favorite 40K videos to date. Though they did make me curious about what you might have to say about some other notable fan theories. Probably the biggest one would be the "Sigmar from Fantasy is a Lost Primarch" theory. Not sure if this is a good enough topic for a video, but how do you think Sigmar would fit into the 40K universe if it was true? I keep trying to figure out what relationships he would have with his Primarch brothers, but other than him probably being buds with Leman, I'm not sure what the others might think of him.
My hot take here is that the 10th company are the exception not the rule when it comes it night lords, nearly every other depiction has them way more chaosy. Yes the night lord hate chaos but i fell that its really just hate for the sake of hate. Talos has ADB syndrome in that his best characters are the opposite to what we expect from them
Another reason why some of the night lords are anti-chaos. For the one raised on Nostramo and this is my theory that make sense to a certain point. Before the Heresy they were psycho's , killer's , murders , criminals of some kind (minor or major) and people of violance usually from a gang/criminal organisation on Nostramo. They seen the good , the bad and ugly before the heresy from a early life as most of the recruits from Terra and Nostramo later on . At a certain point they see what chaos can do from the other legion embrace chaos and say no knowing how messed up some of their life were pre-heresy. As being a criminal to a certain degree was a factor help them for the better or worse for being anti-chaos for the ones that stick to Servatar or Konrad teaching still in M41/M42 . As a sample Talo's was in a gang at a young age and saw what life was like in the neighborhood he grew up in under a gang control . Stuff like that change you for the better or for the worse at a certain point even for messed up some of the name night lords were from the Heresy . As even the night lord Zso Sahal from the novel lord of the night was anti-chaos , anti-imperium siding with the traitors while sticking true to the legion values when they meet a night lord warband that embrace chaos mutation's .
I finished reading the first book of the night lords trilogy a few days ago Fr, I think hearing a Night Lord whisper “preysight” is probably one of the worst things to hear as a normal human

Attempt Number 6 Could the Istvaan V loyalist legions have held Terra? If Chaos forces were are at the same strength during the siege as it happened in canon Vulkan is present at Terra so could close the webway quickly, saving all of the forces who died during the War in the Webway for use in the siege (Custodes, Imperial Guard, Sisters of Silence etc) Ferrus Manus is alive and all Iron Hand/Salamander tech is present for the loyalists Raven Guard and Corvus Corax conduct strikes behind chaos lines, similar to how the White Scars operated. And of course....Vulkan can't die Could Vulkan, Ferrus and Corvus have killed Ka'Bhanda, Angron, Mortarion, Horus?
Why not? Ferrus Manus and the Iron Hands would be suited to the defence, Vulkan and the Salamanders would be well equipped to deal with Chaos in close quarters, Corvus and Raven Guard could harass them, all are strong primarchs, Vulkan is invincible, Horus said if he had Ferrus then the heresy would've been won. There'd be no War in the Webway. That's a hell of a lot of advantages.
@@WhiteMoose211that's because Ferrus was a great leader and the Iron Hands were hyper efficient warriors, not because Ferrus was some Uber Primarch like Sanguinius. Sanguinius would literally win any fight he threw himself into because he was fated to die to Horus, Ferrus in this new canon isn't afforded anything beyond not getting clapped on Istvaan. Also, replacing the cool headed Rogal with the notoriously hot headed Ferrus would probably see the traitors win just because it took the cold autistic calculation of the Fists to barely hold Terra, anything less, let alone the opposite, would see mistakes made and exploited. Royal defeated Alpharius because he made himself so single minded and cold that nothing in the universe would deviate him from his plan. Nothing could be said to stop him. Ferrus on the other hand doesn't have anywhere near that level of self control. Next, I don't think Corvus could defeat Mortarion. Jaghatai had the endurance to match Morty's Plague and Nurglite buff, Corvus is just sneaky and skilled. Lastly, let's not forget the most crucial element to the Heresy: Alpharius and Omegon. As shown when the Emperor and Malcador war gamed the Heresy over and over, if the win was too one sided for the Imperium, they both rush to the palace and kill the Emperor. The Heresy was perfectly balanced, so even if they do win, they lose. The current outcome was THE BEST option.
@@alastor8091 Rogal would indeed be a loss for the loyalists in the defence but with the Webway closed really quickly, the Emperor is free to a) calm Ferrus down so he's more effective and b) could probably lead the defence himself if needs be. Also it's possible Corvus could defeat Mortarion, just may need to be smarter about it. I wasn't really asking this question in the context of the cabal prophecy etc either. I was more interested in the actual practicalities of whether the Istvaan V loyalists found themselves defending Terra, could they successfully defend it.
I know there are a night lord warband call the gorechained who worship khorne and another night lord warband call raptorous flayhost who worship tzeentch and slaanesh
The remaining night lords are scattered and divided. So it's not surprising that many succumb to chaos worship. Their Daddy is no longer around to keep them in line and none of them are willing to take up the mantel. When in the eye of terror do as the Chaos marines do.
Man, the merch looks amazing, sad part is it costs 1/3rd of the whole order to get it delivered to my country, I'd definitely buy some stuff if it wasn't so high, I get why you can't get it lower though. Great vid as always too!
It would kinda make sense that sevatar became one of the first grey knights due to he being a psyker as well as hating chaos (demons) and there being gray knights who where recruited from traitor legions as well as loyal. Not to mention not knowing what happened to him.
I found one of the most interesting moments in the Konrad Cruze novel before Konrad meets the assassin where he ends up having a breif conversation with the emperor after making his meat effigy & the emperor says he forgives Konrad because he bloodied his hands in the great crusade on his behalf & kind of gently chides Konrad for getting too mentally set into thinking that his precognition visions were always 100% true & completely unchangeable.
Attempt number 7: What if the Primarchs where found in the order of their creation. So the Lion was first and Horus was nearly last. I think that could change quite a bit, don't you think? P:S yeah, I'm definitely doing this till it gets to a 100. JOIN ME MY BROTHERS!!
Actually, it's heavily implied that the primarchs were given life simultaneously. There's no connection between the legion # and their biological age. As a matter of fact, some legions precede their respective primarchs. The Lion is indeed connected to his # in the lore, but I would say it was by design. As big E had a role for each of them, giving the Lion the 1st legion to be under his command probably was to fulfill his position.
@@matiashofmann6010It is stated that the Lion was the firstborn and the template all other Primarchs were based on. While some were definitely designed at the same time, some had a lot more work put into them than others. There's also the fact that the Emperor and Malcador decided to create redundancies which could probably help us understand what the lost Primarchs were meant to be.
Ruthlessly efficient and brutal in equal measure. Appreciate the fact that hunting of human crew was aloud on ships but only menials. If a corrupt marine killed someone of importance or ability absolute hell to pay
It’s simply because the NightLords are already about surviving at all costs, get out alive, youre more important than anything we’re trying to collectively do. If NL don’t win quickly they leave. They also got to the see the results of “what happens to you if you get corrupted by chaos” cuz all the legions that rebelled and fought with them on Terra were crazy as fuuuuk
The Nightlords Omnibus has a navigator as one of the major POV characters. Idk of any other lore that focuses on Chaos navigators. Sorcerers are capable of guiding ships through the warp as well, so navigators may not be that common.
If the Emperor believes all his sons can be restored I wonder if Konrad could potentially be the first if GW go down the whole Curze's soul was saved in an Aeldari Soul Stone when he was killed. Imagine Decimus discovering that and uniting all uncorrupted Night Lords to find a way to bring back Curze.
hey Majorkill I just hought about it but what if you started a serie were you buill your own spliter empire how you would make your own supersoldier and how you would run things and also you should make a video talking about the warlords of terra
I Always found it funny that the Most insane primarch rejected Chaos of His own free will, but the other Traitors (angron excluded), relative sane, embraced it
Thanks for pointing that out. Why Ive always said Night lords need new sculpts. The idea behind chaos space marine armor is it is regular armor, when the marine gave himself over to chaos, it warped and twisted his armor. See now why Nightlords dont work with black legion sculpts painted blue? Personally I thing the upgrade pack full of shoulder pads and Heads aint gonna cut it. GW needs to stop shorth changing the Night Lords and give them a whole range of sculpts like the death guard.

Fear is a short term solution.
Just look how well the fear based approach worked on Nostramo.
Furthermore, no Night Lord was turned into a dusty golem.
exept Lonrad might be alive as Sevetar might have shot that assassin before he gould kill Konrad Curse fully
@no-nonseplayer6612 Key term there MIGHT be and even then, it's a stretch. Magnus the Red on the other hand, is canonically active within the setting.
@@twenty-fifth420 i would say Magnus is troubled because hes still missing like 50% oh his shards so that also affects his wellbeing i think magnus at 80% would be more stable and interesting and probably trying to undo his Daemonication at some point
...........and..... although the Night Lords are all Mega Halloween, they don't depend on Warp magic as their main weapon.
I really love the Nightlords especially when they resist chaos and it's pull, to spit in its face as a weak crutch for weak people.
I seriously hope we get a single character ideally Decimus or a unit of terror infantry with some rules as I miss the rules we had in 9th.
I’m so glad majorkill introduced me to Tacticus, bro got me addicted and hooks me up with free hero shards once a blue moon too.
Holy shit they were generous with this code
I so badly want to make a list of Night Lords and Iron Warriors under one banner
Do it brother
No reason why they couldn't fight side by side. But like all chaos alliances it would be temporary until their interests once again diverge.
I see that Majorkills's love for the 8th Legion continues. Excellent. Ave Dominus Nox Brother.
Superb video as always @majorkill.
Could you make a video dedicated to the Navigators, the major houses, their politics, relation to the overall Imperium and factions, etc
This channel is the reason I've started playing Tactics. It's definitely one of the better mobile games I've played or currently play. Thanks for the code too!
Bro the code has 3 reqs!
@@KumquatChampion 3 reqs? Sorry I don't know what you mean by that. EDIT- OK it just dawned on me by reqs you meant Requisition orders! That was really generous.
Make a video on what Timmy would do if he was brought back in Gmans position
Major please bring back the kharn the betrayer singlet that says “get up”
Hey MK, have you thought about making a video of what the chaos primarchs would do if they came back, loyalist, instead of Guilliman? Thought it could be fun.
Bruh, every time I think you've exhausted 40k topics you pop out another fun and interesting topic. Keep going Major Daddy!!!
What if Clonegrim returned to the imperium? How would the imperium/the lion and rowboat Gorillaman react, how'd it impact the setting?
Captain was like "You want to see some sh!t!?" to the daemon within him
Decimus didn't unite the Legion against the Imperium though. Especially since we know there were active Night Lord warbands working alongside Vashtorr during the Arks of Omen.
I just want a named Night Lords character man. I am running out of Slavic names to give my boys.
nightlord successor chapter loyalists would help ya with that
I'm just getting into warhammer lore and am loving all the lore videos I come across, this is one of my favorites by far cause of the contrast between the serious vibe and the aussie humour
my favourite, these guys had so much potential.
Talos has ADB syndrome in that his best characters are the opposite to what we expect from them
2:08 video start
I always thought that NL, fundamentally, are obsessed with having all the advantages and no disadvantages, which is why Chaos is a loss-loss for them.
*”Professionals have **_Standards_** .”*
Hey Major, is there anyway you can talk about animals of old terra, which ones still exist, and the pets that humanity still has?
I finished reading the first book of the night lords trilogy a few days ago
Fr, I think hearing a Night Lord whisper “preysight” is probably one of the worst things to hear as a normal human
It's just a fancy phrase for "thermal vision"
Finally it happened. Both the TH-cam ad and the video creator advertised the same game. This must be a sign to download it and play it.
I don't get notifications when your video's come out anymore I just have to keep checking your channel
Longtime supporter of the channel bro. Iron warriors are goated and the best , but I like how the night lords also just said " fuck all y'all your all crazy" and dipped
I’m 2/3 through the Soul Hunter book and the Night Lords are enthralling.
You think if you used one of those aquarium clicker things that Red Corsair navigator would do tricks and stuff?
Day 344 of requesting a Commissar Yarrick Major Mini pls and thank you.
Attempt Number 6
Could the Istvaan V loyalist legions have held Terra?
If Chaos forces were are at the same strength during the siege as it happened in canon
Vulkan is present at Terra so could close the webway quickly, saving all of the forces who died during the War in the Webway for use in the siege (Custodes, Imperial Guard, Sisters of Silence etc)
Ferrus Manus is alive and all Iron Hand/Salamander tech is present for the loyalists
Raven Guard and Corvus Corax conduct strikes behind chaos lines, similar to how the White Scars operated.
And of course....Vulkan can't die
Could Vulkan, Ferrus and Corvus have killed Ka'Bhanda, Angron, Mortarion, Horus?
Nope not even close. Doesn't even need a video to explain that.
@@samhobbs9116 Not to mention Vulkan would have all his technology which is insanely OP
I was dying for some requisition scrolls and gold so thanks a bunch m8
It would kinda make sense that sevatar became one of the first grey knights due to he being a psyker as well as hating chaos (demons) and there being gray knights who where recruited from traitor legions as well as loyal. Not to mention not knowing what happened to him.
I laughed so much with your example of the tyranical regime 😂😂
hair looks great mate
You have been slacking majorkill I need my lore at the regular intervals for the emperor
A video of the top ten community made wholesome moments would be great
Thank you for the code! Been really enjoying the Tacticus game
Fantastic timing with the new kill team
Attempt number 7:
What if the Primarchs where found in the order of their creation.
How could a legion, made with the geneseed of a primarch come before their primarch?
@@hl48 Cause the Primarchs where only in the gestation pods when the Geneseed was taken from them.
@@starhammer5247 both of these statements are completly incorrect.
Ruthlessly efficient and brutal in equal measure. Appreciate the fact that hunting of human crew was aloud on ships but only menials. If a corrupt marine killed someone of importance or ability absolute hell to pay
Do a video on the chief librarian from each legion.
You get it.
@@richbattaglia5350 No you don't
7:03 that Slaaneshi marked Night Lord makes me wonder if Noise Marines joined their ranks 😮
Just reading the omnibus now, good timing!
Thanks for that code bruh, unlocked a few new characters…good shxt✊🏾
how much lore is there on Chaos Navigators, what happens to those who guide Chaos ships?
The Nightlords Omnibus has a navigator as one of the major POV characters. Idk of any other lore that focuses on Chaos navigators. Sorcerers are capable of guiding ships through the warp as well, so navigators may not be that common.
If the Emperor believes all his sons can be restored I wonder if Konrad could potentially be the first if GW go down the whole Curze's soul was saved in an Aeldari Soul Stone when he was killed. Imagine Decimus discovering that and uniting all uncorrupted Night Lords to find a way to bring back Curze.
there is nothing to suggest that curzes soul is inside of the corona nox, its fan lore, not real lore, curze is dead and gone
@@zachar40k That would be a shame as he is such an interesting character
DOES he believe that?
Because he's wrong if he does.
Zso Sahaal from the novel Lord Of The Night would have been an awesome mention here
Damn dude you’re a beast in Tacticus. Thanks for the code!
Yo I got Azrael AND celestine in tacticus from your code , thank you so much!!! Great video
3:03 Low key just described the 3D printed gun scene.
Majorkill, would you please cover Catachan again? I’d love to hear an Australian talk about the failed Khornite demon invasion.
hey Majorkill I just hought about it but what if you started a serie were you buill your own spliter empire how you would make your own supersoldier and how you would run things and also you should make a video talking about the warlords of terra
They were fucked up enough before being corrupted by demonic deities, they dont need more chaos in their lives 😂
Can we get a video on Lord Solar Arcadian Leontus?
For the Imperium!
My Head Canon, Sevatar now works for an Inquisitor hunting down chaos tainted Nightlords.
Crazy I JUST finished the Night Lord Trilogy. ADB is amazing and Talos is a chad. Septimus is also a total chad.
Major dope codes for Tacticus. Mad respects
How have you been enjoying Darktide since the large update?
Majorkill: So, how did they do it?
Me: This is going to be a video where literally every example is from the Night Lords trilogy, isn't it?
Majorkill: Starting off with Sevat-
Me: There we go.
That Night Lords singlet will be the first I buy.
If any more men of iron lore has come out id love to see a vid on it
Mojorkill. I downloaded Taticus to see what all the fuss is about. Hope is good.
Day 1 of asking Majorkill to make a video on each legion's best achievement/battle/victory
Hey MK, when you get around to it someday you should make some high quality pvc rubber velcro patches of all the legions logos or sayings as a merch drop. I can only ever seem to find embroidered versions
The subscription joke was one of the most out of pocket thing's I've seen love you mk
Bruh Major you should've also looked into the new Nightlords models. They fucking dope af, way better than Asmoda-

Ave Dominus Nox! Best legion in midnight clad
I hate that I'm about to do this, but tacticus is actually a really good game.
Wow, that code is juicy. Nice.
@majorkill a video about where are the primarch weapons now in the current setting?
Honestly this is why of all the traitor legions, these guys have my respect more than the others. They rebel against the emperor without selling their souls to arguably even worse entities.
