"Juliette's dead. They took Trubel and my mom's head." Imagine if the NSA or the CIA was listening in on Nick's phone and heard that. Agent 1: "That's gotta be some sort of code...right?" Agent 2: **shrugs**
Season 5 is a whirlwind so this start is in aligns with that. It's going to be a wild ride this season. Also that jump scare at the end was hilarious 😂😂
I feel ya. So much to process with everything going on at the same time. It's official now, Nick's a dad. I still get misty-eyed when Adalind names the baby Kelly. I was initially worried how Nick was going to receive his newborn child. With so much going on, I would understand him not wanting to hold his child at first or look at him and not because he doesn't love him or anything like that but because he's distracted by the loss of both his mother and his former gf and the unknown whereabouts of Trubel. So it was great to see him actually accepting to hold his newborn baby. Very sweet moment. At least Adalind is trying to be understanding of their situation and cooperating as best as possible now that she's no longer a Hexenbiest and has another child she loves and cares for. Loved seeing Rosalee provide comfort and support to Nick at the hospital. Makes you wonder if she'll be around to help with the baby and maybe do some babysitting for Nick and Adalind. The entire group dynamic is going to be something to see this season, that's for sure. I'm happy with the idea that baby Kelly could potentially grow up looking at Rosalee, Monroe, Trubel, Hank and Wu as aunts and uncles lol. That would be so freaking cute. That kid is going to be well protected and loved 🤗.
Great Reaction as always Dak, and welcome to the Best Season. I love how everything is pumped up to 200% including emotions, Plot and also (for your bad) the scares. looking especially forward to the next 20ish weeks
When I find so amazing about Season 5 is everything is in a state of change and the show is reinventing itself in a wonderful way. ❤❤ Big Hugs my dear Dàkra you really are a thoughtful and trustworthy reactor. You put your heart & soul into the job you have taken on. ❤❤
Great reaction to a loaded season kickoff ep.... but this show really knows how to change things up and really roll with the changes and reinvent itself.... Can't wait for you to see things develop! Really touching scene with Adalind, Nick, and baby Kelly, as Nick accepted her more now as the mother of his son. Great stuff as always, D! I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! Keep em coming!
Why would Nick have to part with his son though? Nick isn't a royal, why would the royals care about his son? Diana was the child of a prince, either the acknowledged prince or the bastard prince, but still the King's direct grandchild. His wife, the King's, is dead so he didn't have to worry about her hating his Mistress's child or grandchild. Remember they didn't know anything about Diana's powers when they started hunting her, they only cared about her blood. I can see no reason for Nick having to give up his child but maybe you're remembering something I'm not. He is a Grimm so he has a lot of enemies, but being the child of a Grimm doesn't mean much, remember last season we met the guy that Trubel ended up leaving with to protect, he was the son of a Grimm & he didn't have the Grimm abilities. Or was he his grandson? Anyway, Aunt Marie told Nick that the abilities only activates for some. Still, he is a Grimm, so I guess we'll see. I hope he doesn't have to give up his son, especially when he's going through everything he currently is, but I'm not sure how he'll feel about Adalind helping raise him. Anyway, rambling, this season has started really well. Meisner is here, we last saw him with Diana so maybe she's here or he might know where she is? The claw mark & Chavez saying it's war & they're coming is very exciting. Nick is feeling a certain way, war on top of everything else could be something to see. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas Dakara, love your reactions & I'm really happy to be starting season 5 with you. It's amazing how much has happened in 5 seasons. Have an amazing rest of your week & rest of your year! NicK's a Dad... with Adalind as the Mom... who'd have guessed. Ps, I believe I said this already but Adalind got pregnant again because Claire Coffee was pregnant, she gave birth during the break so it lines up even though it seems fast.
grimm are really strong entity, they have the ability to see wesen which give them a massive edge in a war and their physical prowess have been shown many time, they can go toe to toe against strong type wesen and have heighten sense. So the fact he might become a grimm even if only for a 50/50 or a little bit more, it's still a very high probability for the royal and other villain. For the royal, training a loyal killer machine into a loyal dog from birth could seem like a waste with only a 50/50 chance, but for them it's a chance they might as well take since it cost them very little.
@@jmlchaosdragon True enough, I just don't think that child would be hunted in the same way Diana was being. Nick's Mom didn't leave him because she was a Grimm, it was only after the attack & everything with the coin. The same for the guy, who's name I keep forgetting, but the old man & his son or grandson who came to Portland to give Nick his books & other Grimm relics. He was a Grimm who stayed with his family too. I'm sure the royals would be interested but I don't think it's a special drive for them.
You're so focused on the Council and idk why. They only interfere if the secret is threatened, otherwise they don't do anything. They might have info about this 'war' like Rosalee said but wouldn't do anything unless it relates to exposure
Nick was left with her aunt who was a Grimm as well. So he was still involved with Wessen world, the same danger as if he would grow up with his mother. She was looking for people who betrayed them, and it took much, much longer than she expected. At least that's what she told Nick.@@DakaraJayne
This is what happens when your writers do not know what they are doing. At this point in my telling of the story we are 1 month away from Adalind having her baby, 7 months away from Diane coming back, Truble is undercover in the GRIMM organization, and they are moving into buildings that are actually secure. Monroe is excited about looking over the things in the trailer in better light. T is excited about starting a searchable database of GRIMM knowledge combined with Wesen knowledge. With the houses on fire and apartments being ransacked Sean needs to get back to the precinct to answer questions. Ariel's car is the only one with electronic tracking detection equipment installed so he has to borrow Ariels car after being threatened about what will happen to him if he gets so much as a scratch on it. While the guys and Ariel start working on the cars in the garage Rosalie and Juliet go with Adalind to help her set up the basics to get a good night's sleep in her new quarters. While they are ding that Adalind wonders what the hospital will think when she gives the Spice Shop as her mailing address when she has her baby. Rosalie and Juliet inform Adalind that they will be delivering her child since they cannot be certain of her safety outside of the secure buildings. Sean answers questions first from the press and then later from the mayor and City Council after a mayoral candidate accuses Sean of misusing department funds. Monroe is uneasy at the lack of windows in the new quarters, but everyone soon gets settled in. The Royal has a meeting with his cousin and reduces his role in the family to oversight of the GRIMM organization's funding. The head of security gives his report about the interrogations reporting that Juliet is a Hexenbiest and a dragon Wesen assisted in Adalind's escape. The head of security is confused that the Royal seems surprised by Juliet and not by the dragon Wesen. The Royal brings the head of security into the room where he has posted all of Nick's Wesen related cases and their outcomes. The pictures of Monroe, Rosalie, Ariel, and T are in a section labeled Nick's allies.
Dak, jumping in on this, not a fan of this show, but I put you onto Lucifer, just f.y.i, Netflix, just bought it back, new season, 2025 maybe, but also, Banshee, get on it.

Your thirst for Renard is never gonna get old
The Wesen council doesn't interfere unless a Wesen law has been violated. They are a neutral party

5 and 6 season are pretty good
lets do this.
Fav season🥳🥳🥳
Baby Kelly❤
Dakara just because there's no body that doesn't mean they are not dead.
If you try to make complete sense of the passage of time you get a bit wibbly wobbly
i absolutely adore you and your reactions!
They don’t need to send Kelly away because he does not have royal blood. That was why the royals wanted her first child.

Kelly made a bad choice though, she didn't have to go after the royals like she did. She could gave chose Nick over revenge
Wasn’t it more about the dangers that came with the Wessen world and the target on her back than solely her revenge on the royals?
