Select the secondary machinegun you have on top and aim at the light target without exposing anything but the machinegun itself. As if you have your machinegun selected, the sights will be the machinegun's so you'll be able to easily rip that person apart without risk.
On the KV2, i THINK you was shooting the warheads, which don't detonate when their mostly inert projectiles. I don't THINK they are modelled separately in the damage model. Now i could be wrong, and you got gaijained three times.
