Its not a firmware solution It is a physical problem with the construction of the controller A new firmware can't fix this, watch my review of the tarantula pro

My favorite controller of this year is Beitong Kunpeng 40 because in Flydigi by durability so far. Second place it will be Apex 4 and Vader 4Pro. Third place will be Wolverine V3 Pro because if F* HIGH price and Good option for it's money will be MACHENIKE G6 Pro Star Flash Edition too. Big surprise for me this year is PXN P5. Controller for 25 bucks is killing his more expensive competitors like Gamesir Nova and other budget controllers. Recommend you to check.
@@Psychotoxic86 I can report if you want. I think the p5 is a very good alternative. Unfortunately it has no tactile buttons on the key pad. The d pad is rather stiff. The triggerlock is a bit long, could be shorter. Back paddles have a good pressure point. Not too easy for unintentional triggering. But not too stiff either. I still like to use it, because it also separates the mapping to the Turbo.

I couldn't change the sticks of any of them, although they were intended. With G6pro, the other sticks didn't fit into the holder, and with the G80 I had such strong stick drifts, even calibrating was of no use. I consider stick swapping to be a gimmick, nothing more. there is another question on that matter, there are some stick configurations that adds latency to prevent snapback, the tests doesn't specify if those settings are on or off
How would you rank the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, DualShock 4, and Xbox Series S/X Controller? I recently bought two GameSir G7 controllers. They feel nice in hand, but the shoulder buttons make a plastic scratching noise when pressed, which doesn’t happen with the Pro Controller or the DualShock 4.
Phhhhh....Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, DualShock 4, and Xbox Series S/X like dinosaurs old poop. These are not controllers of 2024, these controllers from your parents youth.
@@Psychotoxic86 If you don’t know how to answer a question without being offensive, please don’t respond. I asked VK for his opinion. If you have something useful to say, your input is welcome, but saying things like "dinosaurs old poop" or "they're from your parents' youth" doesn’t help at all.
At least in my case, the Dualshock 4 is great, is pretty comfy but being old means having to deal with MicroUSB instead of USB-C, they seem to break too often, and using them in PC without extra software can be funky. I love their ergonomics, and just wished more companies were willing to take in this design and update it. The idea of a Cyclone 2 or Vader 4 Pro with the PS Layout just makes me wish for it.
@@danielsfonseca What? Mate, what are you talking about? Offensive? These are very old controllers and not competitors for current controllers in any way. New controllers have a lot of new technologies like: microswitch buttons, anti-drift sticks, higher polling rate, more fast and stable connection, type C connector, a lot of additional buttons, mouse functions, etc. That's why I'm asking you from which era you are? What's the point of comparing old fat TV with new OLED Display?
Why is the dualsense out of your list? between those I'd pick the pro controller and the dualshock 4 with no favourite between them, the main reason why the xbox series controller is out is the lack of gyro sensors but in reality the dualsense is the best first party controller, the adaptive triggers and the high quality rumble motors makes it blow away the competition
I agree with Apex 4 😻😻😻 best purchase I had and still working! The others I've returned were in this list, either I don't like them or they simply didn't meet my needs and expectations.
Guys I want a ps5 controller with a bigger battery and drift free sticks Only play pc and would appreciate auto compatibility with games since I use ds4 for a lot of games Any tips?
Seems you're a flydigi fanboy. Although the Apex 4 as well as Vader 4 pro do an auto calibration during the game and the function cannot be deactivated in Nintendo Switch Mode. Your two best controllers are unplayable for me on the Switch, so not even a D rank. The Zeus 2, on the other hand, is close to perfection. Very smooth, precise. The machigate is over rated. The quality is mediocre. I couldn't even change the sticks. The trigger in switch mode has a very slight gap that is irritating. Otherwise, however, the X20 and Cyclone 2 are very good controllers. Easy to use. Both nit switch mode in trigger lock. The Blitz2 is excellent, smooth and very cool operating concept. Certainly higher than A. Where is the BigBig eon Rainbow 2? Manba, KP50, etc.? I appreciate your tests very much, but my opinion, not a successful ranking.
I don't see other people complaining about auto calibration What kind of game this calibration gives you problems? Also the whole tension adjustment and their stick modules are waaay more advanced than any other controller and not even to mention that the apex 4 has adaptive triggers that is another feature not present on any other controller, the vader 3 pro was the first to bring the dual trigger with microswitch On top of that flydigi controllers works wonderfully in smartphone games too with a perfect touch mapping app
@@VKsChanneltheres definitly games where auto calibration is a big problem but otherwise the flydigi controllers are really good imo.I think this ranking is really good but I think price shouldve been a factor too
@@VKsChannel What do I have against auto calibration? Play Splatoon (shooter with gyro) and you'll notice that this feature makes the controller unusable. The fact that you haven't noticed this influence when playing on Switch is a mystery to me with all the tests. But it's good if it doesn't affect you in the game. If the reference is always set anew during the game, then that's more than just annoying for me. And Flydigi confirms the behavior. So it's not an illusion of mine.
@@Sp3dy-lv7pi Absolutely agreed. At this price, you might expect to be able to set or at least deactivate such things. But it is not possible. And that's disappointing. For me, these two controllers are just lying around. I'll probably sell it soon, because I can't use it on the Nintendo Switch. On PC, PS or Xbox (without gyro) the controller will probably work better, hopefully.

@@Psychotoxic86 0:57 - That disqualifies even a china knockoff from the very start.. That stick "slopback" is HORRENDOUS. That is not what you'll find on even a half decent controller. If you think bearings and slopback are superior to "classic" analog SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT sticks, you probably shouldn't give feedback or opinions on controllers as advice. I dare you find a better overall package than the DualSense Edge at the very end of 2024 that would cover all of the following: - Replaceable Stick modules (yes, hard to come by, but probably will find one in between them breaking.. IF you REALLY WANT TO that is.. ) - Sticks return to center with nearly ZERO SLOPBACK!.. (EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.. if you actually planning on USING THEM) - No sticks response delay or latency inducing processing (see artificial "perfect dead-zones" and "perfect circularity".. Those are WORKAROUNDS for poor hardware to boot.. ) - Decent Trackpad (can be configured for gestures - useful to duplicate your D-Pad when you can't let go of the L-Stick for one example.. ) - Best Gyro sensor there is on a "regular" controller (no, don't remind me of the Alpakka.. ) - DOMED Thumbsticks (yes, I'll put this a a GINORMOUS PRO - anything else is not intended use case.. bad controller to hand fitting is not an excuse.. ) - 23 INDIVIDUALLY ADDRESSABLE controls!.. (Steam Input or otherwise.. - the 2 back buttons and Fn buttons are NOT DUPLICATES of otherwise already existent controls!!!!!.. ) - Triggers with Hall Effect Sensors (the only place where it matters) 3 adjustable actuation points (yes, I know, the shortest COULD'VE BEEN A CLICK.. ) and metal hinge - You have the OPTION to swap between Buttons or Paddles for the backside controls at any time.. (no, 4 controls on the back is already too crowded, it's a GIMMICK.. ) - Configurable on PC via dedicated app without the need of a PS5 (PlayStation Accessories App.. ) - Integrated Speaker and Mic (the speaker is nice for games that play effects through it like reloading sounds, or radio static, etc. ) - Adaptive Triggers (also nice for supported games - Car Brake effects, Weapon Triggers, Bow string force, player's steps on different surfaces etc. etc. etc. ) - Ultra silent buttons (there are rubber gaskets around the main face buttons to prevent any plasticky noise from getting into the Mic. - the side effect is a nice and silent controller.. ) Yes, the battery is shit if you're planning on playing over 6 intense hours in one go.. not making any excuses here.. Rubber grips, idk, haven't had an issue with them in almost two years by now.. But if the Internet says so, then maybe SONY could put some better rubber on the DSE, I won't mind.

Of you want that edge in the latency you should use a wired connection or at least a dongle
And in that field it has 5ms wired and 8ms dongled
I can't believe you didn't talk about V4P latency problems.

@@VKsChannel according to gamepadla, stick latency is 11ms wired and 16ms dongle. Compared to ultimate 2c, which is much cheaper, it's awful IMO.
@@LnDSuv That's the stick latency
the button latency is down below
there is another question on that matter, there are some stick configurations that adds latency to prevent snapback, the tests doesn't specify if those settings are on or off
How would you rank the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, DualShock 4, and Xbox Series S/X Controller? I recently bought two GameSir G7 controllers. They feel nice in hand, but the shoulder buttons make a plastic scratching noise when pressed, which doesn’t happen with the Pro Controller or the DualShock 4.
Phhhhh....Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, DualShock 4, and Xbox Series S/X like dinosaurs old poop. These are not controllers of 2024, these controllers from your parents youth.
@@Psychotoxic86
If you don’t know how to answer a question without being offensive, please don’t respond.
Why is the dualsense out of your list?
between those I'd pick the pro controller and the dualshock 4 with no favourite between them, the main reason why the xbox series controller is out is the lack of gyro sensors
but in reality the dualsense is the best first party controller, the adaptive triggers and the high quality rumble motors makes it blow away the competition
I hope you can review the Easysmx x20 and flydigi direwolf 3, after that maybe I'll buy a controller xD anyway thanks for the tierlist!
Direwolf 3 will arrive soon
@@VKsChannel Good update for Direwolf 2.
Where would an MSI Force controller and Gamesir G7 rank?
MSI Force is peace of crap. Didn't deserve to be on this list or took lowest position.
Msi force gc30 is shit, gamesir g7 se is overrated
@@underking9711About G7 SE totally agree
I agree with Apex 4 😻😻😻 best purchase I had and still working! The others I've returned were in this list, either I don't like them or they simply didn't meet my needs and expectations.
where is the abxylute S9?
Didn't review that =(
Gamesir Nova Lite?
This is just a cheap mediocre controller. PXN P5 much stronger and better option for a cheaper price.
Probably just above the SMX X05.
steam controller still best
Yes, the 8bitdo ultimate 2c for mere mortals like me. 🤗
Guys I want a ps5 controller with a bigger battery and drift free sticks
Only play pc and would appreciate auto compatibility with games since I use ds4 for a lot of games
Any tips?
you can buy a standart dualsense and mod the battery, there are batteries with double capacity being sold online now
@ what about the cheap sticks?
@@gtanibal You can replace them too. Now there are a lot of modifications on the market for Dualsense.
I'll stick with King Kong 3 Max. Apex 4 is too large of a cost when it breaks down
Poor soul. Find a job.
I don't see other people complaining about auto calibration
What kind of game this calibration gives you problems?
Also the whole tension adjustment and their stick modules are waaay more advanced than any other controller and not even to mention that the apex 4 has adaptive triggers that is another feature not present on any other controller, the vader 3 pro was the first to bring the dual trigger with microswitch
On top of that flydigi controllers works wonderfully in smartphone games too with a perfect touch mapping app
We’re living in an era where people are getting too comfortable talking to strangers very rudely. Your entire rant, proves it!
Second 💀
Controllers are gay, just like Roller Skates.
in the end, you only need one that fits your needs. don't pay attention to merchants, shills and fake reviewer, like this guy here
This guy is doing an amazing job. He is providing high quality reviews. With all kind of analysis. And even if I disagree with him from time to time, he's opinion very useful. So f you!
Sometimes you have to absorb all forms of information even the more biased reviewers.
You definetly need to watch more revirews before saying that
I don't do paid reviews in any form and I expose all information about the controllers I review even the bad ones
Pls be a joke flydigi fanboy
I understand if they're paying u tho
Still your list doesn't make sense i'm glad i skipped to the end
I'm no flydigi fanboy
Its objectively the most innovative controllers of this year
Which controllers brought technology that is better than the apex4 and vader 4?
@@VKsChannel He is just another hater from nowhere. But about new technology: I like changing the height stick from PowerA Battle Dragon.
You forgot to put the DualSense Edge in the S++ tier tho..
Are you nuts? DualSense Edge is an overpriced disaster with a dead battery.
Rubber grips are awful too. After a year of use I replaced them, because rubber started to come unstuck. What a joke.
@@Psychotoxic86
0:57 - That disqualifies even a china knockoff from the very start.. That stick "slopback" is HORRENDOUS. That is not what you'll find on even a half decent controller. If you think bearings and slopback are superior to "classic" analog SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT sticks, you probably shouldn't give feedback or opinions on controllers as advice.
I dare you find a better overall package than the DualSense Edge at the very end of 2024 that would cover all of the following:
- Replaceable Stick modules (yes, hard to come by, but probably will find one in between them breaking.. IF you REALLY WANT TO that is.. )
- Sticks return to center with nearly ZERO SLOPBACK!.. (EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.. if you actually planning on USING THEM)
- No sticks response delay or latency inducing processing (see artificial "perfect dead-zones" and "perfect circularity".. Those are WORKAROUNDS for poor hardware to boot.. )
- Decent Trackpad (can be configured for gestures - useful to duplicate your D-Pad when you can't let go of the L-Stick for one example.. )
- Best Gyro sensor there is on a "regular" controller (no, don't remind me of the Alpakka.. )
- DOMED Thumbsticks (yes, I'll put this a a GINORMOUS PRO - anything else is not intended use case.. bad controller to hand fitting is not an excuse.. )
- 23 INDIVIDUALLY ADDRESSABLE controls!.. (Steam Input or otherwise.. - the 2 back buttons and Fn buttons are NOT DUPLICATES of otherwise already existent controls!!!!!.. )
- Triggers with Hall Effect Sensors (the only place where it matters) 3 adjustable actuation points (yes, I know, the shortest COULD'VE BEEN A CLICK.. ) and metal hinge
- You have the OPTION to swap between Buttons or Paddles for the backside controls at any time.. (no, 4 controls on the back is already too crowded, it's a GIMMICK.. )
- Configurable on PC via dedicated app without the need of a PS5 (PlayStation Accessories App.. )
- Integrated Speaker and Mic (the speaker is nice for games that play effects through it like reloading sounds, or radio static, etc. )
- Adaptive Triggers (also nice for supported games - Car Brake effects, Weapon Triggers, Bow string force, player's steps on different surfaces etc. etc. etc. )
- Ultra silent buttons (there are rubber gaskets around the main face buttons to prevent any plasticky noise from getting into the Mic. - the side effect is a nice and silent controller.. )
Yes, the battery is shit if you're planning on playing over 6 intense hours in one go.. not making any excuses here.. Rubber grips, idk, haven't had an issue with them in almost two years by now.. But if the Internet says so, then maybe SONY could put some better rubber on the DSE, I won't mind.
this is a third party controller tierlist so first parties are out with the exception of the hexphantom that are half first half third lol
