Just subscribed, I'm an American with Welsh heritage, and I've been starting my journey into Paganism. Your videos have been very helpful and inspirational, thank you for helping me learn more about my heritage.
I'm really happy I found your channel. It's really hard finding stuff for Welsh Celtic paganism, and you seem really well informed about it. I definitely hope you keep making videos, because I'm definitely going to keep watching them!
Diolch yn fawr!!! I am also reading Caitlin Mathews' "Mabon and the Guardians of Celtic Britain" for her deep understanding of the patterns and recurring characters in the stories of the Mabinogi. In her next book she also discusses the Welsh Goddesses in their varied roles and manifestations as the Goddesses of Sovereignty......in the Mabinogi and Arthurian lore. I just got your book and the Sioned Davies version of the Mabinogi. It is so nice connecting as I am far away from Wales in Hawaii and there is no one to share these fascinating subjects with. I am trying to learn the prayers to Rhiannon in your book in Welsh. A wonderful way to learn the language thru stories...!!!❤
Wonderful suggestions, I have on my shelf to be read the Mabinogion as well as Kristophers books. I’ll be looking for the others, except I don’t speak Welsh. 😀
So happy I found your channel I am just starting my journey on the right path and this is goong to help me so much to learn it all and I found all the books on Amazon so can't wait to get them xx
I just bought all of the books (except Coelion Cymru as I am not a Welsh speaker) and can't wait for them to arrive! You can never have enough books in my opinion :D I am loving your videos (I only just found you today) and send you bright blessings from an English (with a sprinkling of Scottish and Romany) crone :)
Hey there Mhara! I have Welsh heritage and I was wondering if you could do a video on Welsh ancestor veneration and how the Welsh venerate their dead if you happen to know anything :) thanks for the videos!!
Thank you so much for this, and helping me to feel included after nearly a year of being told it was all closed (which I completely understand why) to me. Just for a bit of context, when I decided to start researching and knowing more about my ancestry (Welsh and English) I knew I wanted to learn from those in the culture. However, each time I tried I was told because I am not living in the culture (I'm American) then I had zero right to learn about it unless I was there. As much as I wish I could live in the land of my ancestors to truly experience it, I do not have the privilege yet. Therefore, I gave up and move on because I did not want to disrespect others but that calling would not go away. After finding your channel, and binge watching, I finally feel like I am in a place that I will not "offend" others for just wanting to learn.
I have a few of them books, and some on my tbr wishlist ready to be well read and loved. I don’t speak welsh, but learning! Would love to find a copy of Coelion cymru for when I’m fluent... (maybe you could translate it 😉 ) and Richard suggett is on my radar for when I hunt through second hand bookshops in hay on wye (once I’m out of local lockdown of course) 😂
Definitely added most of these titles to holiday/birthday wishlists as they are close together! The last title I searched for on Amazon and found a private seller asking over $1,000 for an ‘acceptable’ copy...wild, to say the least
Thank you so much for that. I am on just starting out on my path, and with so many books available I've not known where to turn! I would love to be able to read your book too when it's available! Diolch yn fawr iawn xx
I’m not sure if it’s useful for anyone outside of the US, but the American Book Exchange (ABEbooks) is a great place for finding used and resale books from individuals or independent bookstores (where I’ve had most luck finding books like these!) and have found a few of the ones mentioned on there as well :)
I have never felt right in any modern religions. I have English and Irish roots. I want to know what my ancestors really were like and practiced before persecuted

Im surprised that people don't pronounce it as maybinogion going by the wheel with Mabon on🤣🤣
So your practice is little practices and a lot of fairy tales? Do you have a list of absolute beginner books to practice Welsh paganism?
I have never felt right in any modern religions. I have English and Irish roots. I want to know what my ancestors really were like and practiced before persecuted
Hmmm. Maybe you’re the one who will translate the Coelion Cymru into English. 🥰
