Funny how a simple song can bring such good memories to so many people. I first found Eranas peace while being chased by a cheetaur...imagine the relief and how much of an impact this music makes you feel.
Fantastic job! This song gives me memories of laying in a bed of flowers, safe from the horrors of the forest that chased me here whilst adventuring at night.
I think I spend most of my time in Erana peace, I really liked to just listen to the music and imagine that I am there, sitting between the flowers and eating on of the magical fruits whenever I was stuck, and most of the time I also got a solution to my mind after some time... I just never wanted to leave this place of magic.
pawelek Bochny Best game series ever made, I'd say; but I wouldn't necessarily consider the first game (which features this particular melody) the best of the series. (I'm partial to the second game, myself.)
@@paulchapman8023 So many are! I don't know why, the second was wonderful and a really groundbreakingly lon and complex story, I loved it and played it ferociously. But the first one... it just has that special feel deep inside me. The simplicity. The innocence.
As i read it put by a fellow Quest For Glory fan, this song is so sentimental, nostalgic, and melancholy because our hero met Erana through her garden and slowly over the years, he fell in love with her. But by the time he finally caught up with her and had the chance to be with her (in Mordavia/Silmaria), she was already gone.
The song of Erana's peace proves that magic exists... Anytime I feel stressed I just run a few bars of it through my head, and the calm spell takes over.
I keep finding covers for this song it seems.....Thank you for putting this one up, and the same to the other covers and the originals. To clarify, my elder big sister (nearly 30 years old) and I (nearly 25) played the Quest For Glory games back when we were kids, and finding these music videos bring back fond memories of these games. To hear the music, especially the ones from the safe spots made by Erana...they bring peace to my heart, and thanks to everyone who puts them up. Thank you.
I loved this game as a kid and now I often play this as a lullaby for my children! Thank you very much for uploading this, double thank you for keeping it ad free!

@princeofwinter There's a bug in Quest for Glory V that you can't marry Katrina without the patches (there were two official ones by Sierra). Several other aspects (The Ring of Truth, becoming the Chief Thief, and I think a couple others) that are broken without the patches, too. Not minor bugs, either, but these are MAJOR quest/plot-breaking things, too. Dragon Fire fell so flat compared to the previous four (yes, even compared to the bug-riddled Shadows of Darkness).
@DrGreenfun You do see her in 4. If you sleep by her staff or in her garden, you'll see her in dreams, and then at the end you get to meet her for real. I never played 5, but I hear you get to court her.
The QFG series was a bit schizophrenic. The first two games were essentially parodies with serious parts in them, the last two were serious with some parody elements in them, and the third game was a mostly serious filler episode with a few jokes (like the awful waffle walker or the "emergency death system").
Ok, now I KNOW there was a piano cover of this song that used the same display image, only as the song progressed it faded into a sunset/nighttime scene, but now I can't find it. Does anyone else remember that version?
