Welcome back to my painting channel! Today, I'm giving new life to a failed canvas, aiming for success! Starting with a greyish blue base, I wanted a lighter, more pastel shade. Onto this, I'm painting large Prussian Blue Leaves and a huge fluid flower. It's surprising to me how beautiful the palette and composition turned out! To finish, I added light sources from the top using a Venetian rose spray paint. I'm ecstatic with the result-absolutely loving this painting!

The rose really gave the painting a more natural light source than while would have. I also love the simplicity of the painting.
I would go for the rose on the sides.
Venetian Rose on the sides. Beautiful painting. You make this technique look so easy. But it is so difficult.

Beautiful in blue! And you are right, the pink was a perfect touch!. I think the dark blue on the sides, BYT the pink on the side, where it is pink on the top. 💝

The rose really adds such a delicate touch and visual interest and I would paint the sides with it also! Amazing how just a few brush strokes and/or color can change a painting ! I wonder how you know when to stop! So beautiful ❤️

Absolutely stunning Rinske! I wasn't sure if I'd love just the blue but it's beautiful!!
My first thought was Prussian blue for the sides. However, there's so much of the blue already. Venetian Rose is the way to go!! I think the blue may make it too dark. The Venetian Rose will create more of the "light source" you are aiming for. It's perfect!
Would you be willing to create a video using a color similar to Windsor pale olive green or resembling a sea glass green as the main color? I need inspiration to compliment my new bedding (sea glass green). My walls are light silver gray. With 4 kids, a mom needs a space for herself, lol! Every attempt so far is not good at all. I would be very appreciative of your talented interpretation! ❤

I love how you made the drips work into the background. Giving that ethereal look and adding a bit of the leaf like texture. The simplistic beauty in this one the blue is the star of the show. Venetian rose is one of my favorite it adds just the right touch

By far my favorite of your botanicals. Love, love, love, the simplicity of just one color. and the misty background is gorgeous.
My vote goes for light Prussian Blue on the sides. However, any of the colors you suggest would be pretty. The composition is wonderful. To my eyes,, it is a very soothing yet uplifting painting.
