Lmao those guys battling for the chute had me dying
Lexie I really appreciate how important it is to. keep your truck clean! It really does show how serious and professional you are about your job. I don't think acid will remove dye very well, although I don't know what will. Hope to see a new video soon!!
Mine is dirty af and I'm not cleaning it 😂
@@Dan-rg7jj Tbh, that just reflects what type of employee you are to everyone else who sees you. A well kept truck shows you have pride in your work, and care about your job/appearance. We have a few employees like you who don't care about keeping their mixer clean, and they will never receive an upgrade or hand down from a senior operator. They get to stay in their ugly, nasty truck until they prove otherwise lol. I just got upgraded to a 2022 Peterbilt. I love it, but it's a chore to keep clean. Well worth it!
@@Shredderof_POWDA you didn't take anything I said with a grain of salt. It's a 2018 white so it's just muddy up close with 50000 on the clock. Everything else is up to scratch and looks far better going down the road with all the custom bits and the trailer I did with the custom welding. Also I'm not an employee so I will do what I want. If anything I'm trying to give away work I can't keep up with all the inquiries.
If it’s dye, then my auto response would be bleach not knowing any better. I’ve watched guys wash houses with nothing more than a regular hose water pressure and do a great job cleaning by simply spraying on a strong bleach mixture letting it set and rinse off. I just know when you’re working with bleach that strong beware of wind and wear a mask and eye protection. I know there are videos on TH-cam describing the best way to do this and what you should mix the bleach water ratios at. My other thought was steam cleaner.
Just know that your videos are reaching people all over the world and its great to see you taking pride in what what you do having such a positive and entertaining vibe, stay safe out there.
REALLY IMPRESSIVE TO SEE U IN JOB ACTION !!!! U REPRESENT UR CEMENT CO. EMPRESSIVELY WELL!!!! Workwomanship U ROCK GIRL 💯👍🤩
Thanks for posting and sharing this with us. I like you because you're doing a very important job and showing the world that younger people like you don't mind doing the hard work it takes to keep this nation moving forward. No sir, no whining from this young lady, she's too busying building a future for herself and others. We need more young people like you. Not afraid to take the bull by the horns and get the job done. A credit to your family for sure. Take care and always be safe.
Lexie, I know how it feels to have your beautiful white drum coated in colored concrete residue. I used to drive the exact same model/Peterbilt that you are in, and our batch man screwed up, and my white drum was pure red. It looked like it was that time of month for my poor truck lmao. Red is the worst color to deal with when trying to keep your mixer clean. I admire your work ethic and positive energy. I'm new to your channel, but loving the content because it's so relatable. Keep smiling pretty lady!
I love cleaning my truck. When it was assigned to me it was almost new with a pristine interior. I have done my best to keep it as close to immaculate as possible with every chance I get. Whenever it gets dirty, I get a little bit depressed and determined to right that wrong. I agree that a well kept work vehicle reflects the type of person in command of it.
So young and beautiful. Keep pursuing your goals and don't let any man interfere with that. You have your whole life ahead of you. I leaved in San Diego for a bit. How I miss the west coast.
I just discovered this channel and after watching about 4 random videos, there's a couple of things I noticed starting with this girl is not afraid to grind. Whether it was selling clothes online during the pandemic or climbing up and down the ladder on the truck she is giving it 100%. I can't express enough how refreshing this was to see especially coming from a generation that feels they are owed something just because they exist...... Lexie, when you look in the mirror or just reflect on where you are in life lift your chin and smile because you are an inspiration. I have to believe those who raised you are so proud. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your continued success
That is awesome that you take so much pride in your work and how you present yourself as professional. It seems like a lot of your generation don't care.
I know nothing about concrete mixer trucks but I enjoy you're videos 🥰
I use to be a concrete mixer truck driver as well. I saved enough money and eventually started my own concrete mixing business. I eventually ended up owning 5 concrete trucks with my own gravel and sand business and did that for about 10 years. It's great money! I eventually passed the business down to my brother to run the show as he was laid off his job and now he absolutely loves doing it and is much happier. We would get small to big jobs to even working alongside the county and now he's always super busy and scheduled up. It's years of hard work but nothing beats being your own boss!
Even with the little issue with the stains, your videos still have a positive vibe 😎. Love the outro with familia 😊
Great video Lexi , I really enjoyed it , thanks for sharing the good times and the bad times with us , it is good to see your pride in your work and your truck and yourself , keep it up ,you are doing great , I am watching in England UK .
I totally respect you about what you’re doing. It makes me so happy to see how good you are and what you’re doing your job. I respect you so highly. I’m a single dad and I would love to show my daughters this video. It shows women are driven. God bless you and take care.
Always looking forward to your videos Lexi, they’re really fun to watch. Loved the sound effects 😂. Keep up the great work!
I love your other types of videos. Maybe you can do a day in the life, or cooking, working out, car videos, clothing. You're amazing ❤
I used to be a mixer driver and we would use SOS pads on the hard stains, then follow it up with pledge furniture polish!! It will come back shiny and have a waxy feel and will even repel water! We used to have friendly competition on who could have the cleanest chromed out mixer at our plant.
I just got hired for ready mix driver! so excited. Found your channel. Love the content:) have a good day stay safe! From Canada!
I love your videos and your personality you're such a beautiful person inside and out. Your work ethic is top notch and you take pride in everything you do with that beautiful smile. ❤❤❤❤❤
Keep the videos coming.
I like your work ethic that's not often seen in young people now a days, it's also cool hear you mention Glendora keep up the work
We can see the effort you put into editing your video, I was laughing when they were wheel barreling the mix lol, keep up the great work!
That's a good pump load. Flyash. Been doing everything since 2001. Mixer set up portable plants. Batch. Run pumps.
Lexie, your work ethic and dedication are amazing! I'm glad you got the car of your dreams while you can enjoy it, life will always through challenges at you and you'll change with starting a family and such, so enjoy the hell out of while you can and you've worked hard for it and don't let anyone tell you any differently!
Great video. Keeping up and no time million subscribers.
A green scrubber and some acid will work, don’t scrub too hard. A light enough pressure will remove the stains. Keep up the good work!
Great looking car and spotless inside👍. Cheers !
You came so far from the start of your trucking career. Motivated and looking forward to upgrade my CDL. 🙏
Drove mixer for 36 years just retired , on the lamp black getting on your barrel what i did when I knew the load had lamp black are any color was hose your drum down with water really helps from the color sticking to the drum.
congrats on you’re retirement! I know that trick and I was feeling so much regret for not doing it.. I get loaded this black color everyday and this had never happened but I should’ve been more safe than sorry..
True people appreciate a clean truck, and I can say from experience, as I drive a rotator tow truck that I've had people compliment on the truck being clean on the inside and outside and it's a good feeling, keep up that attitude that you have, very rare to see in a younger woman
Hey Lex, as a concrete pump operator when the mix is pretty bad for a pump I try to get it wet enough to the point where it goes through the grate easily. Then after that I make sure to keep the pump rolling nonstop ( no breaks or pauses) until finishing the job or else it will lock up. I find that a 7 inch slump is enough to pass through quickly but may not separate inside the pump, although increasing the water ratio by 5 gallon increments can be done to get the water level right. However I will add that if the concrete mix does not have enough portland cement it will not go through no matter what you do since cement and water is what helps keep everything (sand, rock .etc) sticking together and lubricated inside the pump. In those severe cases it is always best to either use a chute like how you did or send the load back and get a new mix instead of giving a hard time of frustration for the pump guy taking the machine apart and putting it back together so many times. Making fast simple decisions can sometimes save time on frustration. Altho Pumping with ready mix trucks are always a bit more riskier simply because it's dependent on one mix setting from the plant and if it's very bad then we can only do so much. Hope this helps out with future jobs that use pumps.
Thank you for another fun video! I understand your frustration with the black color staining your drum.... iron oxide pigments are powerful. I always end up ruining my clothes when I'm around them lol.
Concrete can be tricky to pump depending on many things. For example, some 2" line pump mixes need to be very careful with the percentage and size of aggregates used. Around my area that means under 1000lbs per cy with 1/2" minus.
However, the main issue when pumping concrete is making sure the mix has enough paste volume to carry the aggregates without segregation. Rheology and viscosity also are a part of this but overall paste volume is the most important. Pumps plug up when segregation occurs. Paste volume is composed of water, cementitious materials, and air-entrainment. There must be a correct balancing act between the w/c ratio, air content, and cementitious amounts to pump well. That is why the old way of just increasing slump with water on the job doesn't always work.... because while it will increase the overall paste volume, it will also lower the viscosity of the mix and is more prone to segregation in the lines/joints/reducers = plugging.
Sorry to ramble on! Have a nice week!
We do a ton of double black loads and double red (utility) loads. The black gets everywhere, usually I just soak that out in acid overnight. The red is move forgiving/blends in a bit (we have bright orange/yellow drums), but also seems to wash off better. Also that looks like a ask for a dry-up and glare at the batcher load lol
Your the best on TH-cam 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Your number one ☝️
You tha best stay confident and positive 🫶🏼
I love watching what you do outside of work. Eating, running, family, etc ... 🩷
LMAO on the sound effects you put in while the workers where filling the wheelbarrows ha
It's good to see you work hard I'm retired from the business I love how you are doing you are a true professional you got guts I love your videos hard work pays off I wish you the best 😊
Thanks so very much for sharing your experience with us and always drive carefully and keep making your videos I really enjoy them
Your ABSOLUTELY awesome you are always thinking positive.!!!!!!°
Enjoy Your Editing.. Thanks
I am also a mixer diver and I recommend that you leave the acid on it overnight and wash it in the morning.
yep
Yeahh dont do this.. acid rusts out your truck
It rusts when you put acid on it every day and do not wash it, to remove the color from the drum you only have to do it a couple of times and wash it the next day
Really great channel. I feel like this is why theh originally made youtube was for content like this, but now so much if jt us garbage. Refreshing to see your vlogs.
This is an awesome comment, thank you! I appreciate it
I love you 😘 💕 @@lexflowaz

Im a new subscriber, And for you being 20 or 21 years old, Your work attitude is off the charts, Most 20 or 21 year olds are just wanting to party and get in trouble, lol But watching you work you are always so posative and you Lexie, Are an inspiration to all women that you can achieve your goals with dedication and self confidence, Keep it up, Love the videos, And i 100% love the accent,
you could easily be the next great filmmaker. just great stuff.
Hey girl! Just wanna say that i love your awesome work ethic and your videos. I noticed in your previous video that you drive a 15 spd. Thats so kool! I never got to drive one back when i was trucking years back. Keep up the great work Lexie lex lex 😁
3:30 hahaha😂😂 battle for the chute haha omg!
I liked it when you changed the "mirror" setting when you got on the Walnut job. I hope you do that all the time for these videos. It just looks more correct and does not appear as disorienting fotr my 76 year old mind.🤪👍
I totally get how you take pride in having a clean ready mix truck, I have the same pride in keeping my ready mix truck clean.
In Australia we call it a Boney load too much rock and the more water you put in the worse it gets and if the pump is worn out it won’t pump it I had it last week the Pumpy got mad cheers
I feel for you. Hope you never get double loaded. Ugh. I’ve used this method and passed it on to other drivers, if you have a light acid, spray it on your drum, pedestal, chute, hopper and fenders from a pump up sprayer at the end of the day. When you get loaded the next day, most of the light cement from the day prior will come off. Little things help a lot.
Black concrete dye? Try Dish soap or degreaser, that's what i use on my 36Z putzmeister pump truck, then pressure wash it off with the shop hotsy. It still stains for a couple months. My hopper is suppose to be gray and it was redish pink for a while 😵💫😆
Bring it down to Fresno CA.😬🤔 I’ll detail it and make it look new again. But I would say with a pressure washer and some heavy duty APC degreaser.
You are a beautiful young lady and I love how you put in a Spanish word in your conversation. I will definitely be looking for the rest of your videos.
Always enjoy your videos Lexie! You just come across as being so good and geniune! Also, if you're buying fruity cups for everyone, I like Chocolate in mine.
Hi Lexie! It’s always good to see you upload your videos. Sorry about the mess on your truck, it really does suck getting build up or just having a dirty truck from a situation at work. Animo! Todo va estar bien. At least you’re ok. Did you get a color load or something, como paso? Saludos desde Chicago. We can’t have our phones on us in the truck if not I’d upload videos too 😭😅
A 4 litre white paint a roller long handle, while it goes round touch with roller, just before you finish work for the day, overnight it drys, now it clean for the day at work 😊❤
Aluminum Brightener (Acid) is what I’ve used over the years. I’ve never had the experience that you did. I’ve used it on some painted surfaces such as painted steel rims, truck frames, chrome bumpers, chrome stacks, aluminum rims ect, not the cab! It’s pretty potent so you might want to wear hand protection. The less water you add to it the stronger it is. You have to use your own discretion.
Cool vibez. U make truckin a vibe
A clean truck is a reflection of the driver. 🤩
Hey...I just started watching your videos...about your drum...try your glass cleaner...that happen to me also but was fly-ash on my drum and water tank so I use my glass clear...and it come rite off...
I would have never guessed you drive a concrete mixer. That’s pretty cool.:) never judge a book by its cover :)
I had same thing happened to me few yrs ago. I goota say black is the toughest color to wash. As I was getting loaded the color hose ripped so the entire drum got covered in black color. It took me 3 hours and sandstorm with pressure washer to get it all out. I think the pressure washer will do it. GOOD LUCK!
Happy to see you 👍🙋
I use to live in Glendora too. I miss the city
HELLO YOUNG LADY MY NAME IS FREDDY AND I JUST STARTED WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS AND I ADMIRE YOU AND THE PROFESSION YOU'RE DOING. KEEP ON MIXING
The sound effects had me rolling them trading for the Wheel barrels
dye is the hardest to get off it will take a few washes to get it off if you can get some acid that is little stronger it may help
I ran a tow business years ago. The drivers that kept a clean truck tended to be easier on the equipment. The ones that didn't think cleaning was important didn't last long.
Dang what kind of slump is that 🤭🤭 super wet you can’t even wash down …. I feel your pain it’s hard to keep up w these truck… gotta scrub every little break you get 💯 a dirty truck attracts DOT more than anything
I get it. There was a generator vendor I worked with, his gear was spotless, and he showed up wearing white dungarees to drop off and pick up. I never worried about those generators failing.
Did you try a degreaser in a spot?
Acetone?
I would try paint thinner on a rag to get the oil/grease off.
I washed my concrete truck 2 days ago with the acid alternative I got it from brown to shine in a couple hours by spraying and waiting 30 minutes before rinse if you see this hope it helps
That stain would bug me also. Like that you take care of you're equipment. Definitely have to stay on top of a cement mixer. Stay Safe
Concrete...it's a concrete mixer lol. Cement is just one of the ingredients within concrete.
My truck is dirty WTH I’m gonna quit lamooooooooo
This chick is the shittttttt homies for life type vibes
Shout out I live in LA too
But is it necessary to keep the outside clean? Like does it damage certain components?
Use some acetone. Dont let it sit on there for more then ten minutes. Rev the rpms up so the drum spins faster as you brush the acetone on .
Keep it clean always 🤘
I've been driving concrete mixer in Phoenix for 35 years black and red color is the worst!! I feel your pain...
I feel the pain. Our batch man screwed up and coated my entire drum with red color. It looked like that time of the month for my beautiful white drum. It took weeks of cleaning to get it back to normal.
Your a beautiful young lady with a great work ethic. It's so nice to see there just might be hope for the rest of your generation. Obviously your parent's have done a wonderful job raising you. Your little sister is a cutie pie your a great role model for her ❤❤
always pouring down here in san diego! lets go
Try using a pressure it should help with a strong degreasers don’t use acid wen pressure washing, ❤️❤️❤️ for you always good to hang out with grandparents
It's not grease it's black color degreaser won't touch it.
I’m new to driving mixer trucks and I was wondering how do I know if I still have left over concrete in my drum after I do a pour?
I've noticed on some of your videos, you step out your truck facing outward. That's actually pretty dangerous because you can slip. Always step out facing your truck while holding on with both hands.. 3 point contact
All mixer truck drivers step out facing the wind. Especially front discharge.
@@julesTools Why?
@josea1531 🤣🤣🤣 it's a mixer thing. Nah, front discharge maybe because it's the only way out the cubbie hole and just continue on off the truck.
@@josea1531 on the rears, I don't know. She sould be coming out the correct way.
@@julesTools No way man.. that could turn bad real quick. Imagine slipping and hitting the back of the neck on the steps. Stay safe
Try using aluminum bright
Pretty sure you need some stronger asset. I know how California is about all the bull crap I left there just in time not that I wanted to but. Add to follow my second family. Four kids for my first wife what are my daughters lives in Anaheim the other two live in Northern California who are the Redwoods are and one son up there. Back in the day all four of them used to ride with me in the truck. All day long. Those are two axle Freightliner so it had a sleeper. Second wife another little girl and she had a 6-month-old boy so I'm the only dad he knows.
Now I live close to Springfield Missouri. I used to pull end dumps thin dump trucks the mixers jump from one truck into the other.
I started with old Mack Trucks two stick shifters pieces of you know what .
One of them was a pan didn't have no driver's window my water tank had a leak so it looked like icicle shooting at me. Then I graduated to another International finally at the end I drove a 92 Pete.
The one that came to California to visit some rookie drove my truck and rolled and told it.😮 so I was back to dump trucks and yes we use some acid that was so strong it Knock You Out take your breath away. Have a good day little sister be safe❤.
By the way a guy drove 40 random Ready Mix was my brother-in-law.
Now X again.
Vive la vida loca Locos forever.
I grew up on a ranch the Northern Colorado at the age of 7 I was driving trucks and tractors. En las huertas y los files con mi abuelo telera cocinero en un campo de borde.
.👍🏼🤚🏽😊😎🙋🏽♂️❤👏🏽👏🏽
i just had interview for a mixer driver at cemex hoping i get it 🙏
They added stain into the mix. Right. Here. You pay extra. Per truck. Not sure if they do that there
Great job as always
Could you find out how they clean those concrete hoses when the job is done.
Yes next video!
❤❤awesome 👌
I know the feeling . Keeping your truck clean is like keeping your face clean. That sucks getting the black all over but something should take it off. Hopefully soon.
Hi Lexi what camera equipment do you use? I’m also a mixer driver here in Seattle Washington. Saludos 👋🏼
Love the video lexi
You need to stop the drum and clean it in sections with acid. If it's color, clean it immediately. You won't spill if your drum is chipped.
You did great job trying to clean it off , I know you like to have a clean truck can you do a great job of trying to keep it clean but everything ain't perfect.❤
Very good your job
Hey Lexi new sub here, I know what you feel, i drive drouble powders thou so I went on vacation to Japan, they let some npc dckhead drive my truck came back to it all clay/dry powdercement dirty, I let the "yard manager" know the issue, I said the company Needs* lol this trucks prestine, he said oh sure (get it cleaned) yea lmk whats up, lol dude was hanged over or w.e XD so I did my best first 2 days back, got it abit cleaned Saw lil sisters truckwash off 395 had them do a wash up on the company i work for (red mack trucks iykyk) under managers name. that baby looked brand new XP I had dispatch laughing it up at the main office and all was well, hey stay positive be safe and dont forget your pre trip! =D
