Dude that is a pretty rare find to pickup. That is one of the very early goped sports. As you mentioned, the tank, the wheels, the G2D engine, The early style front fork. Even the frame its self, you can see the difference in the deck mounts between this one and the later version. Pretty cool to see, its like a time capsule!
That vibration noise is from the spring in the handlebars. It’s no biggy, i actually have a brand new Goped and the sound is there too. My son has an original Goped with the G2D and it’s from 95. Awesome fine and the motor sounds like it’s running pretty good 😊
I own a sport like that, but my grandfather bought it in the early 2000's so it has the g23lh, its blue, and has the new styled front fork because i broke the original, other than that its stock! I've had it for only 1 and a half years.
The ticking noise is your worn out handlebar bearings, they arent making a seal and you need new ones. they are causing the ticking bceause the engines vibrates slow enough to catch at idle
Oh oh, I think I know what that vibrating noise is, that same sound comes from my sport too. I think it’s the spring for the slide folding mechanism. I don’t think there’s much you can do to fix that, but it’s not a serious issue.
@@mikebike094 I bought one last year and rode it for a few weeks and it was awesome but then the roller bearings inside the drive unit went bad and now it squeaks when you ride it, so I stuck that ped on the shelf and hope to one day find another good liquimatic drive unit because when it was working it was super cool.
Volume sucks

Beautiful work on the resto. I'm jealous and would love to find an 80's goped sport to restore but not much where I'm from. Great work tho!
I just bout the same one 60$ off offer up I’m bout to resto it now
Lmao I got one for free
I used to own one the rattling noise is usually the spring on the handle bar sleeve and neck.

Thanks a lot. Greetings from Germany
I bought two scooters on petrol and I am very satisfied.

Thanks for making this great video, nice job 👍🏻
i love restoration goped sport pls upload more video❤
Gas take is a original goped gas tank from the 80s
Goped were around in the 80's?!! How come I never saw one back then!!
kinda late but the ticking sound is the engine vibrating the recoil catchers
picked up a liquimatic with the g23lh that i restored. 5usd for the scooter and 30usd in restoration.
Very nice 👍
thanks for this video. helps me a lot
Ay mike it might be something in side the muffler or a lose bolt
You should buy a steel deck paint the scooter and get one of those things to cover the thing that stores the gas and buy a exhaust
dam its been a long time since you uploaded looking good
Sounds great
were is the best selection for custom diy parts and accessories ive seached and seached cant find the colors or parts im looking for
I’m trynna to get one to run that I was gifted never used ever is the tire supposed to run at all times like that?
Those early sports are always cool to see. have you ever came across an intact liquimatic? those things are really cool
I’ve had a couple liquimatics over the years, but the torque converters were shots. Cool idea though.

I have one just got her started after 20 years of sitting
Nice work
Yea just an aftermarket tank other than that nice
Hey, cool video, do you know where I can find a launcher for this model?
Where can I get a intake
Have you ever release tue slide tube? Im having difficulties sliding mine.
I usually soak it in wd40 overnight, then break it loose. That will usually get the job done.
Cool little engine i have one too. What is the best mix for this little guy? 1:25 or 1:40? And any preference on the oil you like to use in the mix?
when its hotter outside its helps to use a little extra 2 stroke. I have tried the green and red, both work.
I believe this one called for 25:1. I used Castor 927 and mixed 32:1. Never had an issue.
Could the ticking noise be related to the pull starter?
John Maverick coil
Check the gap
