Awesome reaction!! I'm so glad you are going to do right thing. Instead of complaining about foreign singer's accent just read the lyrics in text. That is what we non native English speakers do, and 80 percent of the population on the earth is non English speakers. And I'm glad again that you mentioned about the bassist Miho. The bass and drums are the chunky and heavy basement of the sound. They tie each other so tight and built a perfect rhythm section by just two of them. The twin guitars are the stars of this band but they only can shine on this great power house of rhythm.
As a native English speaker, it has always bothered me when other English speakers reject music just because it isn't in English, or it is too accented for them. To me, the voice is an instrument, and it doesn't matter if I can't understand them, I can still enjoy the instrument! Hell, I can't understand half the American metal bands, and they're singing in my own language! I will usually look the lyrics up online later, because I also enjoy knowing what the song is about, but that isn't my first priority.
Sorry to disagree with you all, but English is the language of modern music. It's not my fault, it's just a fact! It is similar to how Italian is considered to be the language for Opera. And of course, English is the most widely spoken language in the world and is generally most people's second language for that exact reason! Of course it doesn't stop one appreciating good musicianship, but it certainly helps where vocals are concerned. Cheers. 😊😎🎸
@@stevehanham9266 I don't know. There are quite a few bands that reject the idea that "English is the language of modern music." Rammstein, for instance, is selling out shows all over the world, and they sing in mostly German. Japan has the second-largest music market in the world, and most Japanese acts don't feel a particular need to break into the Western markets, as they are doing just fine charting and making a killing in Japan.
@@garykeeling2275 Hi again, I understand perfectly what you are saying, but I'm still sticking to my guns about this one. I'll be the first to admit that I am not particularly a 'metal' fan (except for Sabaton) and again being honest, I don't think that it really matters what language the vocals are in because 9 times out of 10 you can't understand what they are saying in the first place! But if that is what you like, then who am I to say otherwise. As for Rammstein, I've seen a couple of videos and they were in English. Not that I could understand much of it anyway. Most countries have bands or artists who are huge in that country but are not known worldwide. My wife is Romanian and this most certainly applies there. I am quite frankly struggling to name one band or artist who is, for want of a better word, 'mega' famous worldwide who doesn't come from an English speaking country? The only band/artists from a non English speaking country who have reached the mega famous status that I can think of are Abba. And of course, they sung in English. LOVEBITES - Signs of Deliverance lyrics:
Locked inside of the dark
You can't see me with your eyes
A prisoner of your past
You're so far away from me
Hiding will not save you
You're just drowning in your dreams
Close your eyes and feel your heart
Cause our time is limited
A trivial fatalist
Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
We are all in solitude
Even with a fragile heart
Your true face under a mask
No one knows who you really are
A trivial fatalist
Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won’t cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
SOLO: both
Brave until the end
In this moment we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I WILL go on
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
