There’s a good video of her with Devon Allman during the Allman Betts Revival show covering the Greg Allman solo song I’m No Angel which is a song I’ve always loved.

I love Ally. Her new album is going to be so good. She is certainly the Texas Honey. She’s my favorite current artists. Keep the reactions coming. My favorite songs include Trainwreck Blues, Broken, Road to Nowhere (with Devon Allman), Texas Louisiana (with Buddy Guy of course), Real Gone (the live in Stweetwater studios is my favorite video of that song). Also, anything from Paste Studios or Jam in the Van have good sound a performances.

This is the song that inspired Genesis to do their classic Los endos...Both fantastic tracks.

Literally the Road To Hell is the M25 that surrounds London and is gridlocked much of the time. Of course there are other interpretations too!

Chris was nominated for his ballad Fool If You Think Its Over in 1978! One of the great songs of the 1970's. It was a huge hit in the US but only a minor hit in the UK. Chris never toured extensively in the US. As Fool was a piano ballad he got pigeon-holed in that Billy Joel/Elton John category...in fact he was a blues slide guitar man at heart! His last pop album was released in 1994 but he didn't promote it personally as he was off racing cars in the British Touring Car championships (he was no good at it). Then he went off and did a film which starred in (ie he paid for it!). A sort of Death Wish type film and directed by Michael Winner. Its awful with Chris having the odd line(despite being the main character). It gets build as a comedy but I think its because he was so bad. But it is what he wanted to do so fair enough. After that he continued in music touring mostly in Europe and putting out a lot of blue albums. He appeared on a BBC radio/TV broadcast once (2015ish?) and played a song live having finished it that day after starting the writing the previous day! The little guitar lick at the end of Road To Hell is continued on the later song (and album track) Auberge... that's great too with a video that is much much deeper than it first appears.....much deeper! So check out Auberge next. Other great Chris Rea songs are Josephine (his daughter), On The Beach, Driving Home For Christmas. He has lots of other great ones too. He is one of those original talents that the music industry feeds off.

Most bands probably couldn't play this at all. 7/4 time for the jams. Look at covers of Dead songs -- e.g. Uncle John's Band, they dump over the 7/4 and the dropped beats because it's just too complicated.

You might not realized it, but it did not have a break into the next song it was smoothly going into Beautiful Loser. Just wasn’t sure if you wanted to tackle two songs in a row. A lot of good TH-cam, short videos that you can pick up and watch about his life. Since you might know his big hits, I’ll send you some interesting songs that you will really like the lyrics to.

The reason the quality of the video is so good, is because it was filmed like a movie, film quality type. Before video, and actually before color T.V. was mainstream in homes. I believe o8ur house didn't get one till around '64 or '65.

This song was played all the time on the radio. Back in the day you could write songs about anything. I graduated H.S. in '76, and this was like our Senior class anthem.

Possibly the first band to combine Country and Rock!

When I met my wife, this was one of her favorite bands. Still have their greatest hits in cassette. And as you can tell from the first review you did, a whole lot of members here that became famous later on in different bands. Kind of like the Yardbirds and other groups like that that spawned, huge, legendary bands.

A really good, if short lived, band. All excellent musicians who kept the legacy alive through their careers in other good bands. Keep 'em coming Sam.

Best version imo. Best intro to this song, too. It builds so much tension, and then they go right full speed blues. Don't be so impatient, it is a live party, and after all the song is called 'Lazy', so don't expect a hustle. The protagonist has just woken up from some weird dreams, and most likely has a hangover from super bowl evening. Give him some time to get his brain working, he did not even have a coffee yet!😂

the most amazing that it was ( mostly) done in one take. they missed one verse and Beth came back to the studio and recorded 5 different versions of that verse. that is why they kept the banter between Slash and beth in the track.

Richie Furay, Timothy B. Schmidt, Jim Messina and Randy Meisner ALL were in big time bands. Richie was in the Souther, Hillman Furay Band, Timothy B. Schmidt and Randy Meisner were both in the Eagles and Jim Messina was in Loggins and Messina, with Kenny Loggins. Good pedigree.

❤️‍🔥🎅🎄 I did some research and found a bunch of other videos recorded in the same studio & same players. The first song published to his channel was 11yrs ago which probably means they were recorded in 2012-2013. The players in this song are Joe, Anton Fig, Michael Rhodes & Arlan Schierbaum. The in studio vids from those sessions trickled out published to his channel over the years. The album thats out now is a combination of those old songs and new ones. I dont know why they didn't release a Christmas album before now but there are 2 playlists on his channel that has them. The new songs are all animated. He has worked on his voice continuously. This song was recorded at least 11yrs ago or 9 dvd shows ago. Imho his vocals were always special but are unreal now and have matched his playing for several years. I love his voice it is such a blues man's he has captured tremendous head voice. Check this out the newest (28th #1 blues album) Live from the Hollywood Bowl. This is my favorite song of Santana. Smooth tuneful beginning, then it's like a trip. It gets farther and farther out there, before bringing you back to a calm and tuneful world and a peaceful ending like waking up from a fantastic dream at the very end.

Like you Perk, I love great guitar playing whatever the style and Joe's playing here was superb, absolutely top-notch. I know that Joe is well-known but I don't think many people realise just how good he is. He never appears on any of the greatest guitar player lists but they quite often have the names of punk guitarists who can barely play. Such is life. Greetings from the UK.
