4K Drive to Verdon Gorge, France | Castellane to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

A drive in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France.
The drive starts at Castellane and heads to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie through D952 along the Verdon River that leads to Verdon Gorge. Unfortunately, I missed D23, which runs along the edge of Verdon Gorge. Hope I will visit here again to drive on D23.

I've made the trip along the "Gorge du Verdon" several times. I think the most beautiful trip is to take the D952 from Castellane to "Pont de Soleils" , then take the D955 and the D90 to Trigance, then the D90 en D71 to Aiguines and from there the D19 and D957 to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Then the 952 back to Castellane! IMPORTANT: If you want to take the D23, keep in mind, that the D23 from La Palud sur Verdon only is accesible till "Le Point de Départ du Sentier Blanc-Martel" (a part of the D23 is a one-way road!!!), so you best drive from La Palud sur Verdon 1,4 km over the D952 till "Auberge des Crêtes" and go right from there on the D23. It is an absolute must to follow the D23! It is gorgeous there !!! After a beautiful trip, you're back in La Palud sur Verdon and from there you go to Castellane over the D952.
I have to add something: If you have the time, visit ROUGON on your way back to Castellane. You have a fantastic vieuw over the "Gorge du Verdon" from there !!

Magnifique trajet, que j'avais fait en voiture il y a 50 ans environ, mais dans le sens inverse, en partant de Moustiers. En réalité, je suis extrêmement déçu par cette vidéo, car à aucun moment le réalisateur n'a pris la peine de s'arrêter à un point caractéristique de la route, pour permettre au spectateur d'apprécier la profondeur des gorges et laisser voir le Verdon. En réalité, il n' a fait qu' "avaler" la route.... Ce n'est pas avec ce genre de vidéo que l'on peut espérer attirer davantage de touristes. Désolé, mais cette vidéo est d'une nullité affligeante.
