I ran over a spot yesterday that looked like that in 70'. Drooped some shrimp down can caught lots of lane snapper and small red grouper. Didn't spend much time on the spot. Do.lots of lane snapper seem to be a good spot to go back and drop better bait on?
Thanks for sharing. I found a spot out past the pride sink that goes from 155 up to 52 feet. Have you ever fished or recorded it. I Haven’t heard of to many humps in the gulf.
It's big rocky bottom that goes from 95-100 feet or so. I anchor up in front of the bottom to chum back over it so not much of the actual bottom can be seen as it's probably 50 feet behind the boat. The depth finder was actually harder to read because there were so many fish.
Yes I get the majority of my mangos targeting them in the water column using light 1/8-ounce jigheads. Getting them on the bottom can be done as well with standard bottom fishing techniques but lighter tackle is always better for them.
Nice to see another video from you. Question, anyway you can make your cursor a little bigger, can hardly see it, it blends in with chum and other things drifting around in water.
@@CHAPPER15 Thanks. Have noticed the cursor gets larger when you do that. Wonder if you can change it’s color or shape? Not a big deal but would be nice to be able to see/find what you’re pointing out when you’re highlighting something. Thanks again for the videos 👍
Great video! But to a finer point on it. The Goliath are wrecking the hook and line fishery not the fish populations themselves. In other words Jewfish eat hooked fish not so.much free swimming fish at least according to the gut content analyses
Can you make a video on how you rig your gopro to drop down?
This is the best way of learning about what the bottom looks like on the spots you fish. Great video
Love these videos! Can you post one showing how you rig the go pro?
Glad to hear your back!
Another request for your camera setup please. Thanks.
Do you guide? New to offshore and all I seem to get is barracuda.
Do you plan to upload videos again capt

What model cam you using for this shoot brother

Sarasota reef D-3
Dang, you could fill a box pretty quick at that spot!
What camera do you use underwater and can you view it live?
So there wasn't much bottom there other than just some gravel type rocks? Looked like a lot of sand mixed in????

Would you typically get mangos on the bottom or on the way down?

@@CHAPPER15 that's good to know thanks I will try that next time I am out
Do you have to use live shrimp?

I'll certainly work on that. I try to wiggle it which expands it at times for that purpose

Thank you for using your cursor to point out fish. Otherwise it would be difficult to figure out which one you are talking about
