He lived next door to me in La Mesa, California. I was 5-9 yr. old then. I really do not remember him too well as he was always on the road. His wife, Virgil was the sweetest lady and I used to sit in her living room and she would tell me stories. They had a big impact in my life and I feel honored to have lived next door to them. I had no idea just how respected and well-known he was around the world.

Jeremiah17v9 I don't have anything against catholicism. I don't preach or talk about religions. The reason I said that it's because catholicism and christianity have different belief. A person who's catholic may not fully understand what Jesus really is to us. For instance, I believe Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by him. Whereas catholic people believe that Mary can forgive their sins and they have to go to priest to confess. Christ Jesus is the one who died-more than that, who was raised-who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. But yet again, I am not preaching about religion I just think that certain things that we christians believe in and that catholic people don't.

You are woefully ill-informed here but sadly it is quite common amongst those that are not of the Catholic tradition who either have an agenda or have been taught by those with an agenda. We merely honour & respect Mary & believe that as the mother of our Lord & saviour that she holds a special place in our hearts. & you need correcting re another point: Catholics ARE Christians, the original Christians & we can trace our lineage right back to the Upper Room 2,000 years ago whereas most non-Catholic protestants - over 40,000 denominations & counting - were & are founded by men in the past 500 years who each interpret & preach from the Bible independently, whereas the Catholic Church has the Magesterium, the teaching authority, which has taught consistently throughout the world the same message since the time of Christ himself. I see why the family unit was stronger in those days, we had pastors and leaders like this and families heard this type of gospel weekly. Today we are in dire need of this type of word to help us uplifted and bonded by God.
I met Pastor Lockridge the same year in which he retired from Calvary Baptist Church. He met with a group of young preachers and we were the more blessed as he shared his wisdom with us...Praised God for his life and his legacy lives on.

I have realized something after listening to this sermon. I have listened to other pastors of his age. they did not scream and jump and yell. I realize they are well spoken direct, strong in tone. You can hear the caring, the passion and the grit of his conviction. WOW. I wish I would had heard him in person.

We merely honour & respect Mary & believe that as the mother of our Lord & saviour that she holds a special place in our hearts.
& you need correcting re another point: Catholics ARE Christians, the original Christians & we can trace our lineage right back to the Upper Room 2,000 years ago whereas most non-Catholic protestants - over 40,000 denominations & counting - were & are founded by men in the past 500 years who each interpret & preach from the Bible independently, whereas the Catholic Church has the Magesterium, the teaching authority, which has taught consistently throughout the world the same message since the time of Christ himself.

I have realized something after listening to this sermon. I have listened to other pastors of his age. they did not scream and jump and yell. I realize they are well spoken direct, strong in tone. You can hear the caring, the passion and the grit of his conviction. WOW. I wish I would had heard him in person.

My friends, the more I think about my King, the more I'm compelled to share the wonders of His grace. His name is a melody that dances on the lips of the redeemed. His love, an ocean of mercy that knows no bounds. Let us dive deeper into the depths of His majesty.
My King, He's the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He's the Author of life, the Creator of all things, and yet He humbled Himself to become the Savior of humanity. Born in a manger, crucified on a cross, and resurrected in triumph, He secured our salvation.
He's the Lion of Judah, the conquering warrior who has defeated sin and death. But He's also the Lamb of God, the sacrifice that took away our sins. He bridged the gap between God and man, tearing the veil that separated us, so that we might have access to the very presence of the Almighty.
Oh, my King, His name is a sweet fragrance, a balm for the brokenhearted, a refuge for the weary soul. He's the Good Shepherd who leads His sheep to green pastures and still waters. In His arms, we find comfort, in His guidance, we find direction.
He's the Light of the world, piercing through the darkness of our lives. In His light, we find truth, in His truth, we find freedom. He's the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
My King, He's the Rock of Ages, the firm foundation on which we stand. In a world of shifting sands, His promises remain unshaken. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. In Him, we find stability and security.
He's the Great High Priest who intercedes on our behalf, the Mediator of a new covenant. His blood, shed for the forgiveness of sins, covers us with righteousness. He offers us the gift of eternal life, a treasure beyond compare.
My friends, do you know Him? Have you felt the warmth of His embrace, the power of His forgiveness, the joy of His salvation? If you haven't, I implore you to seek Him, to open your heart to His love, and to surrender to His lordship.
For my King, He's not just a historical figure or a distant deity. He's a living, present reality. He's the heartbeat of our existence, the source of our hope, and the reason for our praise.
In closing, let us declare together, "Thine is the power and the glory forever." Amen.

Amen… I was a street preacher for about 14 years Jesus saved me found me in federal prison I started doing Bible studies from Victory outreach in San Antonio God has a plan my ex mother in law was a heroin addict for many years and Jesus broke the chains of addiction in her life and she ended up at the Victory Home she sends me these Bible studies I started to read the Bible and in a short time I had a group of 11 I was the 12 th we would study Gods word pray so many prayers miracles we 12 saw in prison one of the guys his wife wanted a divorce , we prayed and that weekend he gets a visit and she told him I was with you when you had money I’m gonna stay with you amen praise God and even more I was teaching these guys English I’m no teacher but they were learning English and the word of God once God saw we were learning he moved each of us to a different prison I told the guys take what you’ve learned what you seen me do and do the same
I stumbled on too this blessed gentleman with preaching a message about Jesus Christ that warmed and blessed my heart This has only been made possible by my beloved Holy spirit who is always rejoicing gladly with loud singing

Worship now is just practice. I grew up in raucous worship churches, so I don’t understand quiet worship. Or how believers can sit still during worship. No one redeemed by the blood of the Lamb is going to sit still & quiet in heaven. I’m 100% certain of that. When I lay eyes on Him, just stand back ... ✝️🙌🏽😳🤪❤️😇
