Good fold. Being results-oriented is not a good way to be. Folding when behind and drawing very thin is a good way to be. I'd wager that Jonathan Little would rell you the same thing

It's fine. When I playing with one of my friends in the casino we play it light against each other. Mariano and Ethan are friends from at least 2 years.

They are both strong, tricky players who have a history of not being afraid to take each other to value town or to bluff each other bigtime. There were simply easier ways to make money at that table than going wild against each other with single-card flushes on a paired board. Just because they're friends, doesn't mean that they lose the right to decide who they want to play big pots against. They each likely played it the same as they would have against Polk or Negreanu, and differently from how they would have played it against a fish.
Mariano bet the river to induce a raise. It worked. But on a paired board, there is no way to bet and 3-bet that river without getting his ass handed to him if Rampage had a boat. His snap call is way better than a 3-bet, especially knowing that Rampage might 4-bet shove even a bluff, and then there'd truly be no way to call.
