lol mine has the cracky pots too. But it’s such an amazing versatile amp. I haven’t played in year but when I did I was all over the place with what I’d play. And this basically had a fitting sound for everything from metal to mellow. Watching this makes me want to get back into playing aha
As always, another great video, Kennis. More guitar lessons, please. What are you playing these days at church? We are doing "When Mercy Found Me" this Sunday. I play bass.
I had one of these and it had excellent sound but it kept failing on me with the synthesizer pedal during shows. went with gk 800rb and 4x10 swr. very road Worthy great for Arenas and small places.
Would this amp have enough sustainable power for a crowd of 100+people (rock pop covers band) to play in pubs and smallish clubs Or would I need something bigger? Thanks in advance
I have this amp the ah600-12 this guy is making it sound utter crap sorry but he does , i would not buy it if i heard this and doing a review with crackling pots !!! what !!! this amp sounds amazing i use Rickenbacker basses and they sound great through this amp i would ignore this so called review it is utter crap.
Like all Peavey Traces, it can't be trusted to last long. I have this combo but with a GP12smx amp someone put in. The original amp broke. Repair man said its U/S, forget it. The cab is quite loud for a 210. But its made sloppily, with nails and screws sticking through the panels inside. I like how the cab sounds with the smx. Original amp is a loser. Again, avoid Peavey Trace amps, but cabs may be OK I guess.

Thanks for the reply and that does help, best get one purchased.
Thanks you👍
For the Hi/lo switch its actually the opposite of what you said. Passive instrument = high, active = lo. As per the TE recommendations from the manual
Great review Kennis. Blessings!
Is this amp 500w RMS or 500w peak?
Mine is 350. Add extension cab = 500
Mine is also one of the last British built that were first sent to Peavey.
i have bought one myself sinds i saw this video. great amp !!

Did he just disconnect the speaker while the amp was ON ?

By itself it might be a stretch but if you plug another cab into it it really puts out a lot of power
is this suitable to play to crowds ? as in DJ? not guitar.
there are actually 2 valves in the amp not one.

WOW! I discount this because obviously you werent ready to do a review. Clean and check it first before doing the video. Very unprofessional.
combo like Mcdonalds
ha!!!!!! How to not sell an amp.
@@kennisrussell Ha...Its not you...Trace is defiantly not the amp of yester-year
