TH-cam suggested this video and even though I'm not a Christian I was super curious - I know many churches share their sermons and events online but have yet to see a church discuss these topics outside of an Anglican priest in Canada who has been using YT to engage with Americans out of concern because of the rise in extremism both in and out of churches. Still listening but so far you've sparked a lot of curiosity (already looking at the books mentioned) and also a sense of reassurance. Encouraging community, connection with one's place as well as with the people who are also in/near that place, has long seemed essential to overcoming the tension and rifts that demagogues and opportunists have been exploiting. In regards to it seeming like all Chrisitians are getting painted eith the broad stroke of Christian nationalism - or at least feel there's a sense of guardedness from others - please show some grace because for many non-Christians (not that you haven't, just felt called to address this in particular as it relates to feeling reassured to see this vid), the last few years have been concerning to say the least. Logically most of us know that it is a minority who are using Christ and the church to radicalize but given the increasing volume it can be hard to remember that. Anyway, didn't mean to get long winded and hopefully this isn't too all over the place lol thanks for sharing this and providing a lot of food for thought and a way to engage the energy/emotions of the moment in a positive way. Blessings from Georgia!
Thanks for the thoughtful reply to the message, it's interesting how many comments we have gotten based on assumptions vs actually listening to the message. Thank you again for your honest feedback.
Clear message, so good! Convicting and encouraging. Thank you.
You are so welcome
