Its because they already success to what their target which is local market (south korea) which is sad because they have potential. And as for aespa they debuted to breakthrough US thats explain why SM is pushing them to US market.

@@vmasz9545 Also, I would like to add that out of all the SM groups, Red velvet is the most successful one in the US market. I mean they've sold 1million singles in the US. Both psycho and bad boy qualify for RIAA certifications, clearly SM is blind.

@@JPLEYONKO4 yep they really have this potential but SM just made them to have for locals/asian to cater like EXO (should have been huge as BTS but SM…)Its really frustrating that the company never utilize or maximize the group’s popularity has and they always been underestimated by SM. Yep sometimes its frustrating to see your fave groups being limited like I am to Red Velvet.

Red velvet and Exo have the most and highest charting songs on US billboard, they literally have the most monthly listeners on Spotify. Exo and Red velvet were their best shot at the American dream that SM is desperately searching for, not NCT or Aespa. Their sounds are way too experimental. While yeah, RV and exo had some experimental songs, but bops like psycho, bad boy, tempo and loves hot clearly were gems that appealed to the west.
