i still love that die hard christmas episode where, at the start of the ep, you can see in the background scully had prepared christmas cards for all the detectives. when terry tells everyone to not disturb him during christmas dinner, scully hands him his card 😂
@@silverhand.johnny They do know how lol. Remember when Boyle gave up on them on that "parrot case"? They solved very efficiently, however they said that they're old and tired, so they let the young ones shine while they do desk jobs. Also, we have the "Pie deduction".
He’s a sweet guy whose biggest crimes are being lazy and oblivious, whereas Hitchcock is more like an actual creep. If he had a best friend who could help him instead of enabling him he could maybe be more useful. They’re like a funhouse future mirror of what the codependent relationship of Jake and Charles could become.
It was WingSlutz that ruined it for them. Hitchcock wasn't always a creep either -the two of them were once New York's finest and that's why Hitchcock has the arrest record at the 99. I think the way he let himself go after he and Scully got hooked on WingSlutz is what caused him to become insecure and then increasingly overcopensate to the point it became creepy.
@@LaMortDeLaMusique the case that made them rockstars on the force also brought them down. you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain. i believe that is why most of the 99 as we love it moved on to other things in the end. it was a bittersweet ending but one that makes sense..
In one episode they made it known that they did their thing between the 80s-90s era ( i think it was 70s-80s) but now they just want to relax. They had their moments but now they leave it to the new generation of detectives. There was a few times that they surprised everyone with how smart they were at solving crimes too, it’s like being stupid amd carefree are just fronts they put on to slack off lol.
I love how these guys went from funny comedy relief once or twice every episode to main cast members. Their backstory and development as characters over the seasons is great. They fit perfectly in the show and I love it
@@justjoannak yes. and that's it. that's not what character development means, especially because it went into the opposite direction. all they are is comic relief characters, and really good ones at that
Scully may sometimes be gross and wierd but he is such an adorable and kind person. I don't know, but I really want to have a friend like him lol. And btw, that Rosa, Hitchcock and Scully scene was just pure wholesome moment.
Scully is the nice wholesome uncle, that makes going to family gathering bearable even tho there is the chance of running into your other creepy uncle (Hitchcock)
I love Scully's rare tough or scary moments. When Jake neglected to tell him about the all you can eat pancake sleep over, when Scully and Hitchcock investigate the secret bathroom. Priceless 😂
It missed the 2 best moments. When he danced with Amy on the "The Date", and then danced alone after she left. Also, when he said "He doesn't care what anyone thinks about him" Both super great.
The one with Rosa, Hitchcock and Scully all rolling with their chairs to get a hot dog ,must be the most wholesome moment of them all Edit:omg i have never gotten so many likes in a day in my life thank you guys
As a real-life Scully (except way younger, somehow dumber and not white lol), it's really nice to see all the love going around for this character in this comments section.
Scully the heart of the precinct. In other words, it’s both sweet and kind but at the same time it’s also have a heart heart attacks from time to time.
they cut it out, but scully sadly walking away while everyone talks ab the stain on his pants after he talks ab the joy of christmas carolling is actually so heartbreaking 😭
look I know hitchcock & scully is a package deal (lol), but I can't help but like scully 10x more. he's just so adorable, genuine and overall so wholesome. he's one of my most fave character in b99 and one of the best side character in tv show ever.
Me and my brother were watching Brooklyn 99 and suddenly he said "They're so old. Imagine if on if them does before the other..." To say my heart couldn't take it, would be an understatement
He low key reminds me of my cousins fiance (they've been together most of my conscious life) a little spacey, not always on the same page but trying to still read along, and 100000% wholesome
Scully calling Jake as 'Jakey' was really wholesome
Never fails to make me smile
Dude I found this video by looking up “every time Scully calls Jake ‘jakey’”
He also said he loves him
I love scully, he’s like a big teddy who u can rely on when u need comfort and snacks
And he also calls Jake ,Jakey thats adorable
Agreed
I met him in real life today. He’s a really nice guy.
And a coma kit
And I love the fact you knew this. May your life be filled with snacktime
Skully is genuinely one of the few people of the 99 I would trust to watch a small child.
I’d want him to put his gun away first so he doesn’t accidentally leave it lying around tbh lol
@@Suchwerewolf ...knowing Skully it's loaded with jelly beans.
well to be fair scully is just a bigger child
He more like godfather but gluttony way
Terry has to be second though since he has 3 kids cagney and lacey and then like maybe like a few seasons later then Ava
In contrast to Hitchcock, who's just a creep,Scully is just ridiculously wholesome.
I love it.
Hitchcock is somehow a creep and also wholesome. He’s like an uncle who you love dearly and also love to high five when he makes disgusting jokes
I don’t think Hitchcock is a creep. He’s ridiculous lol. He’s such a mess
They're a package deal.
@@Dayvit78 Everyone knows that.
I like Scully more than Hitchcock
When Scully went caroling, and showed up in front of Boyle, Jake and Nikolaj, that's when he unironically became my favorite character.

Nikolaj

Why would you even hate him???
When Scully calls Jake “Jakey,” it hits me right in the feels.
Honestly, Scully feels more like a sweet but awkward old man. It's Hitchcock that creeps me out tbh.

I went back to rewatch that episode - I didn’t even notice that!!! He’s such a cutie

He's so cute
I know he can be gross, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I would totally be friends with him!
That’s because it’s all wart. 😅
