    They actually sent a notice that we owed $60k trying to say that our labor was a product..wtf? The cpa acted like this was no big deal and it just went away but how many of these go out and break people and how many times have people had the things they’ve worked for taken from them?

      I did a job once for which I was compensated and paid my fair and honest taxes on the income that was accrued from it. But my client let me stay on the premises of a building he owned while I did the work, about two weeks. They argued that that free lodging had a dollar value and that I owed taxes on whatever the amount that was, since it was a form of compensation. I hired a lawyer on that one. Always lookin' for an angle, those guys.
