Lol...it's the same in England too. Lovely sunshine and clear skies mean a chilly night this time of year. Is still very wet here at present, but we can get big temperature drops in a couple of hours. So, I am dreading being frozen INTO the van...it happens every year! Lots of rainwater, then a quick freeze, and the water becomes like concrete sealing you in! It's not very stealthy having to kick my doors open from the inside!!
Things have changed for the better since I was your age. In the 80's I spent time living in a Bronco, camping in places like this...not this one unfortunately. You can hold a real job and earn a living while on the road. I used to stop for jobs like dishwasher at the Lake Hotel YNP (8+9/1983) when I ran out of gas money. Enjoy life. Wherever it takes you in the future, you will have these memories that others do not to tide you through the tough times.
I appreciate the advice. I was a kid in the 80's and we had a full size bronco, I used to think that thing was so damn cool! Kudos to you to be able to do that.
@@ChasinSimplicity '66 Bronco. Simple to keep running. Big enough to sleep inside. Tall enough to sleep under. Gave 25 mpg at 42 mph. Hard to imagine a better stealth camper with four wheels.
Thanks mark. I’m getting better with practice. I figure I’m about 1/1024 your skill level which is a huge improvement! There are a couple of the spots which are right on the rim. I wasn’t that brave.
It was so cold but so amazing! The sunset was nice too but it was so cool just standing there in the dark and cold and then have the sun come up and bathe the land and then it hits me and instantly so much warmer. Crazy stuff.
Amazing video, Galvain! Just catching up on some of your older videos... Happy to hear about your news... btw, are you the Galvain that's in the fb Prius group??
The one and only! I’m glad you are enjoying the video. This is one of my favorite videos I ever made and it has like no views lol. I got up so early to get that lighting.
Hi Galvain, another quick (maybe silly?) question... in some of these places you've camped at (such as little grand canyon and pot cove), have you noticed they usually have trails available? I'm really hoping to hike and (mainly, hopefully) do some trail running as I wander around N.America. :)
Great question. Most every place I have camped will have a trail of some kind. The further out you go the less trail but the more wondrous. Many many trails exist out in the western USA. There are several apps specifically for that as well!
What a fantastic spot,.....beautiful sunrise!! THanks for the tour.
Glad you enjoyed! It was worth the 25 degree temps. Appreciate you watching.
Lovely footage Gastain. The Sun was very cooperative with the 'mood lighting' :-)
Thank you! It was absolutely stunning and a very cold night.

That happened to me last year in Texas! I figured a way out but wow that was scary ha. Stay warm.

That’s beautiful. Gonna look on google maps and see how far it is from me. Thanks for doing this video!
One of my favorite places!
Awesome looking spot, need to put that on the list. Nicely done video as well. Safe travels 🙂 -Mark

Looks like quite the spot with a beautiful sunrise to boot! Just gotta be prepared for some cold.
And that it was...
Great vid!!! I have been all over the swell, but not that far north of I-70. So pretty out there.
It’s awesome!
Great video and beautiful location! Can't wait to go there myself!
It’s a great place. So peaceful. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful video! Thanks...
Glad you enjoyed it. It was so awesome standing there in the 20 degree temps to be hit by the warming sun. It felt amazing
Absolutely Love This
Thank you so much Leslie I appreciate the comment.
I'll bet sunset is just as dramatic. There's nothing like the wide open spaces!
