    Apologies for the driving section the AF (auto focus) failed on our Canon Lens, we added a gaussian blur to blend it and make it the best we could. This car does come with LED and a whole host of other additions dependant on trim level even though the website say Projector lamps. There is no Android Auto either.

    I just bought the MG MG3S Limited Edition in Australia. It’s a great car. Easy to drive 4 speed automatic, looks good and handles well. $16,990 drive away price can’t be argued with. The limited edition come with all black alloys, black rear spoiler, side skirts, red outline around the front grill and inside the car the air vents are red. Also come with 2 limited edition MG king rings. The car comes in 2 colours. Tudor yellow or Dover white. I chose the white. Very pleased 😁

    Exciting stuff, only just came across this car. I personally wouldn’t mind if they addressed the slight problems with the car and increased the price by maybe £500-£1000 starting price for each model. It’s pretty much the ideal car. Very informative and good review. It’s fairly good looking in my opinion, unique, decent features, and a very, very good warranty. It will be very interesting to see if they electrify this car in the future.

    Thank you for a great review. These cars are amazing value for money. They feel like a proper MG which is not surprising as they are designed and engineered at Longbridge. Despite being made in China, the quality is excellent and people should not assume they are not well built. The only thing that has gone wrong with the four MG3's I have owned was a timing chain that needed changing and this was done under warranty.

    • @PlanetautoUK

      That’s great to hear, likely you’ve noticed our hands aren’t as animated in later reviews 😃 .

  • @johnbradshaw5900
    @johnbradshaw5900 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great to see an honest review of this car! OK the interior plastics are not expensive feeling and the naturally aspirated engine is out of step with modern trends but its a good looking supermini with good space, a very well sorted chassis and excellent steering for a very low price. This thing sells at the price of a city car despite sitting in the category above on size, and it is a genuinely good car, however too many magazines and car enthusiasts refuse to look past the badge and promote cheap prejudices about Chinese cars. Interestingly Mazda still avoid small capacity highly blown engines and are also cricised because people expect the engines to behave like turbo charged alternatives despite Mazda engines being superbly engineered and very innovative.

      @valley boy I've just done a 2000 miles road trip with my 'old and thirsty engine' as you put it.
      With varied driving styles from sedate to 'like I'd stolen it' we averaged 47mpg around the old A and B roads of Britain.

  • @rotboxrodder7151
    @rotboxrodder7151 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You know when a review is nonsense, when they don’t have a bad word to say about it. Also at first they said about good fuel economy, then at the end they say they’re getting 35mpg . My wife has a 2016 Mazda 2 1.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine, with 115 bop and it will do 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 124mph but averages 48.7 mpg and I live in the Black Down hills in Devon.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, what is it about the review you don’t like or believe? We think 35mpg is good when driven hard through the Lakes, do remember it’s an old engine configuration, and a Mazda 2 doesn’t cost £9k closer to £14 and with a far more advanced engine, even in the 2016 model and earlier. The MG is full of hard plastics mind you the market who buy this car love it, try driving one. We did a 1000 mile round trip in one it never skipped a beat.

    • @andy1992uk
      @andy1992uk 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PlanetautoUK seriously? 35 mpg is god awful. Our old 1.4 naturally aspirated petrol clio did 42, my 2005 supercharged cooper s achieved 34. Our modern 1.2 c1 does 57.

    • @PlanetautoUK

    • @andy1992uk
      @andy1992uk 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PlanetautoUK the point is this is a negative for this car. It is 2019, not the 1990s. Arguing that it is ok because it is old engine tech doesnt make sense. It shouldnt have old engine tech, it is old and uneconomical and ruins the review to not pick up on this fundamental thing. They should have stuck a modern 1 litre turbo and job done. Yes you pay a few thousand less but after a few years of ownership you would have bought the mazda 2 in the petrol cost saving.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      andy1992uk then it wouldn’t be the price it is, look at the price of auto ZS compared to the manual ZS, over 5k - it would have been an idea to offer the ZS 3 cylinder GM SAIC however it would be at a premium likely 4-5 k more. Plus you get a 7 year or 80000 mile warranty. Watch MG for ev that’s going to be the interesting point.
