@@mastercode7851 you just need to know one, I recommend C++, C# or Java, but stick to it, many beginners think they know 25 language because they know what an array is and how to use it in them, that's not knowing the language, instead stick to it until you can make something pretty great with it alone or with a framework

What is the point of the video? it's too short for a beginner to understand and the people who came looking how to make their games work on an android don't get any explanations, despite the title.
1. Figure out a game engine 2. Create a simple character design in your computer 3. Learn how to animate said character 4. Learn what script is 5. Write it...? 6.learn keys for Android vs. Computer 7. Test it!
Great video. It explains everything really well. People say the game is really good, but it would I've been better if you extend the time a little and added things like coins, power ups and obstacles.Then the game will at list have something that makes it unique. I've already watched the video before now and it helped a lot. It's still a good tutorial for starters who want to make games. I highly recommend people to watch this video.

@@Set_Tings2900 well, to start you can use phyton with pygame, it's pretty easy and it should give a nice preparation, i strongly reccommend you to NOT directly start with C++ or java tho, they're both pretty hard at hight levels

But I highly recommend you do some form of logical programming, I know I made that term up, but you have to practice the logic by yourself (focusing on how) rather than what.for example you can make your own simple physics engine by using projectile motion equations with constant horizontal velocity, you can even do simple collision with linear momentum equations using only mass and velocity. So... What's my point? Maybe, Practice a difficult Matlab course, you can always learn the programming language syntax at any time, but more often than not if you can't problem solve this isn't for you.

Seems allot of people really thought they were going to watch a ten minute video and make a game. I only clicked to see the overall process and tools used. Learning to code and to use it to build something takes a hell of a longer than ten minutes so I'm afraid your expectations are going to be dissapointed allot more in future

Great Video. Did everything shown, and added freeze rotation z axis for sprite to avoid spinning. However, my jumps on click only occur on the first platform and not the rest, although I copied the 1st platform after adding the ground layer to it. It's not a bad video for getting started if you are already a developer. But saying you can create a game in 7 minutes is not quite right at all. First of all, the game is not complete. Next, you need to know a Little c Sharp or a lot of C sharp to be able to do something that quickly. Of course, it wasn't mentioned how long it takes to install both the Android SDK and unity. And I doubt he was typing this completely from memory. Although I could be wrong. It looks like it's being typed by looking at another computer and just retyping what's already there. I guess he didn't really qualify how he was going to build it in 7 minutes so no harm no foul I guess.
He explicitly stated in the video that he doesn't remember all the code from memory, and that he's using a reference, but that he also wrote the reference, so it isn't exactly cheating. And I don't think the claim was to build an entire game in seven minutes, but rather that in a seven minute explanation, you'd have just enough to get started on your own little venture.
I have a question, Why did you use rb.velocity.y when you want your main character to go horizontal. Shouldn't it be rb.velocity.x? If someone could explain me it'd be great. I m little bit struggling right now.
Hey the velocity that he use has two parameters the values between the brackets the first being the x he sets it to 3 to move 3 places to the right if it was -3 it would move to the left then he says velocity.y to keep the velocity on the Y-axis that the object is at. That's why the jump Axis is like that also. hope this helped.
Thanks! One question, when jumping between platforms, squarey rotates and the whole canvas rotates with him. Is there a rotation property I have to disable somewhere? Edit: Select Squary, Go to the Rigidbody 2D properties on the inspector, Open Constraints, select 'Freeze Rotation'.

What is the best route if I want to make something more like a utility? Like interacting with other applications, getting text, setting multiple timers, doing calculations, selecting pixel regions on the screen (circle, rectangular) and save an image of selected area, comparing images etc.?
Great Video. Did everything shown, and added freeze rotation z axis for sprite to avoid spinning. However, my jumps on click only occur on the first platform and not the rest, although I copied the 1st platform after adding the ground layer to it. Secondly, how do you make it so its an endless level?

It's not a bad video for getting started if you are already a developer. But saying you can create a game in 7 minutes is not quite right at all. First of all, the game is not complete. Next, you need to know a Little c Sharp or a lot of C sharp to be able to do something that quickly. Of course, it wasn't mentioned how long it takes to install both the Android SDK and unity. And I doubt he was typing this completely from memory. Although I could be wrong. It looks like it's being typed by looking at another computer and just retyping what's already there. I guess he didn't really qualify how he was going to build it in 7 minutes so no harm no foul I guess.
He explicitly stated in the video that he doesn't remember all the code from memory, and that he's using a reference, but that he also wrote the reference, so it isn't exactly cheating.
And I don't think the claim was to build an entire game in seven minutes, but rather that in a seven minute explanation, you'd have just enough to get started on your own little venture.

I have a question, Why did you use rb.velocity.y when you want your main character to go horizontal. Shouldn't it be rb.velocity.x? If someone could explain me it'd be great. I m little bit struggling right now.
Hey the velocity that he use has two parameters the values between the brackets the first being the x he sets it to 3 to move 3 places to the right if it was -3 it would move to the left then he says velocity.y to keep the velocity on the Y-axis that the object is at. That's why the jump Axis is like that also. hope this helped.

Thanks! One question, when jumping between platforms, squarey rotates and the whole canvas rotates with him. Is there a rotation property I have to disable somewhere? Edit: Select Squary, Go to the Rigidbody 2D properties on the inspector, Open Constraints, select 'Freeze Rotation'.
