"It's not a shock, we have been so starved of 50/50 fights that when we finally do get them someone will get beat and it seems shocking" something along those lines and it is so spot on! I think this again shows that activity is very important look at the development Dubois has gone through and he's had 4 fights in 18 months. I think it could be a smart move to fight Parker and then the winner of Usyk vs Fury. Keeping up the activity will be useful against guys who fight once a year, especially against a great experienced boxer with a unique style. Interesting fact James Braddock was considered retired in the 1930s because he didn't fight for 9 months, they thought he'd never be able to compete at a top level again because of that extended time off.

    Your ending comments were so true, I'm so glad it's happening and hope it continues to happen. Rocky Marciano is the only Heavyweight world title holder ever to retire undefeated (and that's because he'd beaten every top ranked heavyweight and wanted to spend time with his daughter). We were getting close to the point were we could have had 2 or 3 retie undefeated in a single era. Which would have really shown how bad heavyweight boxing had gotten with avoiding fights, luckily that has been avoided.

    • @augustuspatrone6790

    • @Alex-cw3rz
      @Alex-cw3rz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@augustuspatrone6790 I mean seen as Ali specifically said the only person he couldn't beat is Rocky Marciano is probably not a great example to use. And Lewis's era which isn't a thing if you mean 90s in which the transition to 12 rounds meant people in their 40s could still compete at the top level. Compared to an era where if you did not have stamina for 15 rounds, you would lose, it is incomparable. Marciano hit so hard they had to change the springiness of boxing rings to the level they are now, because people were wacking their heads off the deck so hard he paralysed one of them. When Lewis was fighting there were a lot of successful inside and pressure boxers. So I think the best inside boxer the world has ever seen is probably going to do well. If you comment about the weight well all he'd have to do is drop from running over a half marathon a day in training to 10 miles a day everyday, which would over double that of any modern boxer who do 6 miles 3/4 times a week. And he'd weigh around 220lbs with the extra calories not burned.

    AJ has the power, let’s be honest round 5 AJ was down to 30% and ddd was on 💯, AJ clips him with hardly any power left from being dropped so many times and he wobbled ddd… and that was one right hand AJ threw and it landed… can you imagine how AJ can do at 💯 to ddd? I want AJ to rematch him. That wasn’t AJ in that fight on Saturday. His feet he wasn’t even using and usually he’s good with his feet getting In and out of range. His hands were too low when usually his heads are up! He looked sooo calm in the ring walk, he wasn’t right. He wasn’t establishing his jab when he had the better reach. I don’t know what happened but I know if he actually uses what he’s good at in he rematch AJ has way more chance of winning. I have a feeling the rematch he will beat ddd

He was slow, static, upright. Reflexes were sluggish IMO, and he was kind of clueless when his opponent threw punches or stepped into him.

      It’s a good idea, but I don’t think Joshua has more than 1 more fight in him ? His will may be there, but the brain can only take so much. And possibly, not even that one more fight..

    There was an interview of A.J saying before the fight that he had been watching his old fights back just to remind himself of what he was capable of....
    If you think about that statement it's a massive indicator that he was lacking confidence going in to this fight.

    Joshua needs to fight at a slow pace. Dubois' pace and fighting a lot on the inside + throwing something back everytime Joshua punched was a huge issue.

    This 5 round demolition job of Dubois beats Usyk now I reckon. He literally has the formula to dismantle him if he puts this type of performance on him for 5 rounds after that Usyk starts turning it on.

    • @steadyimprovement156
      @steadyimprovement156 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't agree with you. Joshua was terrible in this fight. Usyk would never make such mistakes, his fundamentals are perfect. Go and re-watch DDD fight with Usyk, he couldn't land anything except few borderline lowblows, fights was absolutely one sided. IMHO Dubois is vey dangerous opponent for most heavyweights, but not for Usyk. If you throw power punches, missing them and always getting peppered in between, it is very frustrating and draining. I don't see Dubois winning the fight, unless Usyk gets too old and slow or he gets clipped with lucky shot.

    Dubois is not afraid of Joshua. He's more faster and stronger. Has better game plan and better defense.

    Anthony Joshua's saving grace???? AJ didn't roll with that looping right hand that Dubois landed for that first knockdown towards the end of round one. AJ is like a baby deer on ice if any punch touches his chinny chin chin. He had a glass jaw to begin with but his punch resistance is on empty. AJ once again like in his first fight with Andy Ruiz kept his left hand down low before attempting his left jab. Same mistake this time vs Dubois same result. AJ leans back with his head straight up in the air instead of moving side to side to try and evade incoming punches. AJ was just horrible this night. Bad footwork and balance once again. You're saying AJ showed a great chin? You say this was a great heavyweight fight? Smh. AJ was pummeled from pillar to post!!!! He looked just how Eddie Hearn and AJ's team always like to describe him.....like a still learning up and coming heavyweight at 34 and 35 years old! This night he looked like a novice. SMH

    Joshua fought like a novice last night. He should have known DDD was going to jump on him. He was using things learned from the Ruiz fight also and Joshua seemed to clueless.
