Thank you for this tutorial it's very helpful. I just came across your video for the first time today, I will subscribe and would not want to miss out on any other video. Thanks again.
Hello Russell. Lovely video. I really enjoy your materials. I have a question. Is it possible to create a page (or something like that) which is hidden from students but still accessible by direct URL? If so, one could hide your Unit 5 page while still accessing it through the button. I thought I read somewhere where this was possible but when I hid the page, access by the student was simply denied.
To answer my own question... You need to go to Site administration >> advanced and turn on stealth options. You hide the activity or resource and then you open the edit ellipsis and there is now an option called make available (but first you must hide it). It is a 2-step process.

Wow, you just taught me something. I need to look into this.
@@ttvRussell actually once the stealth option is turned on, you can also control availability through the resource/activity setting.
Could you share what Moodle Theme you use?
i am so sorry, I don't use Moodle anymore and I don't have access to it, so I can't check which one it was. Apologies
Thanks anyway@@ttvRussell
