May Allah bless all of you. I just posted a link of Sheikh Hamza's apology to the Black Lives Matter and all who were affended.
We are all in the same boat, and corrections should be made but we should never forget that without unity we have nothing!!

I heard the remarks by Hamza Yusuf and was disturbed by them, but at the same time wasn't surprised because Hamza himself benefits from white privilege in this society in which we live.Hamza may not be aware of it, like most white people because they are ignorant of systematic white supremacy. With that being said as black people, we have to look to for leadership within our own community.

This was a very much needed conversation between greats that I look up to and listen to on a regular. All three. We need to talk about this just as much as we do other issues.

Which black Muslim allowed the shaytan to whisper in his ear to make him feel his way? A black Muslim is the reason we have the call to prayer in the first place‼️ Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him)

Here is the Complete lecture of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf's comment. You will hear it in context. Be gentle he has done so much good for decades. He was wrong, like we all are from time to time: clyp.it/0kxuerpl

Mashallah! Keep up the good work. We need to have more discussion about these issues. Arabs and Pakistanis feel very uncomfortable talking about these issues that plague the Ummah. I wonder why. Either because they are guilty of those supremacists sentiments or they simply fail to acknowledge these issues exist. I believe that all incidents that happened in the time of the Prophet SAW are calculated lessons for the forthcoming generations. The incident between Bilal and Abu Dharr is a clear indication that ignorance, racism anti-blackness is a reality within the Muslim communities. We need to take heed and stay humble. Allahu Alam.

Any Shaykh who supports elite regimes is a snake. They will make good lectures to win the hearts of people and then inject their venom indirectly once they won the trust of followers.

    It is ashame that Hamza
response was A typical bigotry. Even later with his interview. He spoke about about reverse racism and other conservative views that indicate that he should seek counseling with Muslim scholars about purifying his heart of the disease in his heart.

Boona and the panel-May Allahswt reward you all for touching on a subject which Islam clearly does not tolerate.....Hamza Yusuf is a pompous sellout who has been apologetic since being involved with the Bush administration......there is no backbiting for sugarcoating Deen with your charismatic speech.....Hamza Yusuf you don't represent Muslims globally!

Assalam aleykum brothers and sisters,as a muslim as an african born in Mauritania,i traveled in the arab world and i have by the Grace of ALLAH come to an understanding:the arabs in general have a deep seated hatred,a visceral contempt for black people,it has nothing to do with Islam, the answers are in history, black muslims in general are either affraid or simply display a blind and unjustfied loyalty to a people they consider fellow muslim brothers and sisters,i no longer consider any arab as a brother or a sister, that is until they change their attitude toward black people starting with those who live in the arab world,Islam teaches you to fight injustice and oppression regardless of the perpetrator, the truth is the only thing that matters.
    Salam

whoever does acts of racism or speaks words of racism is racist, first according to their own social yardstick: stupid is as stupid does. Secondly Nabiy Muhammad (saws) said that whoever is on the things of jahilliyya is of the jahilliyya and will go
into the hellfire. One of the things of the times of ignorance was racism of the Arabs. It still exist to day. Whoever speaks racism or performs racists acts IS A RACIST! Including Hamza Yusuf.
On another note: 1.We as Muslims of African descent need to realize that we are the only people here by Devine decree. EVERY other people came here freely. Nabiy Muhammad knew that we would be here, so he sent tidings to the Black Crows of the West who would always be strangers in the world. Also there is a prophecy about us in the book of Revelation chpt. 13. Lastly let me say that Allah azza wa jall did not call us to Arabism but to Al-Islam.

Why my people (black people) think they have to worship any god? Our history shows these gods don't hear our orations. Education is the key to the door that imprison us not god.
