I walked pass this place today up at Newtown or Enmore, “hey that’s the place Janice did a video on!” All closed up but looks like he’s still operating at Blacktown.
Technique on cooking garlic fried rice. A day old rice. Minced garlic (fresh). You saute the garlic in a little bit of oil, (not too oily) medium low heat until it becomes slightly golden brown. Add the day old rice, then maintaining the medium low heat, occasional stirring of the rice(avoid burning), add your salt (depending on how salty you want). The day old rice tends to stick together forming chunks, those chunks will eventually disappear and then you will smell a fragrant fried garlic smell which will tell you that it's cooked. Others shorten this by cooking on high fire, which will have different result so just try it... 😁 It will dry out (fried rice) so additional tip, sprinkle a small amount of water on top of the rice, cover it then wait 2mins. then stir. For fluffy texture. 👍
I love the fact that you showed us the process of cooking the pork from start to finish. That was amazing.❤and the sidig is one of my fav .. Don’t you just hate it when it rains and you don’t have that umbrella LOL..x❤️🥰💕
If u want to eat the authentic Lechon and sisig u should go to Philippines cebu lechon and pampanga sisig with calamansi not lemon 😂it's a nice weather here because it's summer ⛱️🌞 time .. Food trip plus swimming beach!!!
Thanks Janice for your videos which I really enjoy. Being far away from Australia 🇦🇺 and beloved home city of Sydney. I always watch your videos on the big screen. I used to eat at Malay winyard as it was close to my office. Keep going and the best to you from me to you. 👍👍👍👍
Hi Janice or good day mate, stumbled at your YT channel and you have a nice topic. I stayed for a short 5 years in Sydney and lived at Homebush suburbs worked at Gladesvilles ar Ryde. Places you showed here were I've been to like Flemingto and I know those shops for I fequent there every week to shop. Thanks for showing your remarks about adobo, lechon and I liked it. Maybe you visit Cabramatta BKK.
@@JaniceFung Just near the station, such as Fiesta Avenue, Pinoy Station, Angels. Reminds me so much of home wherein they serve it cafeteria style. It's not expensive or high end, but more homely and affordable. Might be a tad bit too salty, we Filipinos love our salt and sauces in our dishes.
I was going to go to this place when I was in Sydney a couple weeks ago but didn't end up going. I used to live in Sydney but I live in Newcastle now. My wife is from cebu and we'll be going back to cebu for a holiday in June.
Thank you for your video very nice, I lived in Manila for 3 years, the pork and fish and seafood in the provinces was fantastic the food was very mmmm in Manila had to fly to Hong-Kong on sone weekends for a break, I think the food in Philippines is very different to Sydney Philippines food ( tried it all )especially the pork they under cook it in Philippines and it's not crunchy and when mixed with pig ears it's yuck and Very Chewy and squashy .
@Janice Fung that's right Buzzfeed. I had a blank while typing it lol. Hope your handling the heat atm in Sydney. I'm in Wollongong and it's scorching already at 930am. Have a great Sunday Janice x
I always knew lechon took a lot of love and effort, but this video shows just how much time is involved in creating such a wonderful dish! Thanks for sharing, Janice!
I was just about to suggest for you to try sisig. have you tried crispy pata (pig legs/knuckles) though? i think you wouldn't be disappointed if you haven't tried it yet. cheers!
I rarely common on food videos, always feels too much like a promo (yes I know that is what most food blog are for). I however 👏👏 this guy willing to let camera behind the scenes. Very interesting approach 👍👍

Love how you actually showed us the procedure and proper cooking of lechon coz I badly want to taste this😋❤️
I’m impressed by the DIY automated Lechon Belly grill.. His dad is some sort of genius..

@@JaniceFung the latter. Go to cebu and pampanga
That's the way you eat Cebu Lechon; with soy vinaigrette. No to lechon sauce!! That's blasphemy!
It doesn't look authentic though.
A Lechon with star anise? seriously?🙄

The owners have already left. Only the dogs remain remain at a place that no longer welcomes them. Dogs should follow the owners on a tight leash.
What are u on about?
@@hajtomjones4077 there's a restaurant where the owners left, they left dogs behind on premises. new owners don't welcome these dogs.
