Hi Nathan! It's interesting that contractors don't want to build homes in Evanston. It could be due to market conditions, regulations, labor shortages, competition, or even accessibility issues. Try reaching out to local contractors, ask about specific challenges, explore incentives, or check with other realtors who might have different experiences or contacts that could help you find a willing contractor.
@@carterpettit1 I was told it is because no money to be made in Evanston. To few homes need to be built. A contractor time is better spent in SL City Utah. More money 💰 to be made in Utah
I am considering moving to Evanston, I am in the palm tree import export game. Can you tell me about the opportunities for being able to establish a healthy network of palm tree enthusiasts in the region?
Yes this might make a great area to live with your palm trees. if you have a HUGE green house. I won't recommend it though. The winters are too long to grow much. There is nothing is regard's to palm trees in Wyoming Thank you for the Question Chris.
It did say that the average temperature in July is 20 degrees or less. Even converting 20 degree celsius to fahrenheit, doesn't make sense. He also say that Beaver Mountain is south of Evanston. I'm guessing he has never been to Evanston and is just looking for youtube watchers.
@@carterpettit1 I will be spending a month or so investigating whether that might work for me, starting in mid-October. Planning to visit Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, Gillette, Sheridan and Cody, maybe Jackson. Evanston was not on my list. No intention of trying to change Wyoming but I'd like to understand it better.
@@mikes3638 sorry I meant to say January. If you’re looking for a tour of Evanston, let me know and I can take you on a personal tour around the town. I Do you live and work here.
What a great video. I plan on moving from Los Angeles (Los Armpits) to Wyoming hopefully in a year or two. Maybe sooner. I work in accounting so finding work may be difficult. Thank you for sharing. Oh, and as for cold or snow I saw plenty during my time in the military. Dealing with cold has to be better than meth heads like we have here. ❤❤❤

Please reach out to me before your move, I can help you also find a place to live. Good luck with your move !
I lived in Evanston for over 15 years and Wyoming for most of my life. You made it in the military you can love it here. It isn't 20 degrees in July. January yes. Elevation is over 7000 feet so winters are long. If I were you I would become a CPA and apply at one of the mines in the Green River or Kemmerer areas. The salary and benefits there are way better. Also Terra Power is building a nuclear plant 50 miles from Evanston in Kemmerer, WY. Good luck and thank you for serving !

I looked into buying a lot to build a home in Evanston. The realtor told me they struggle to get a contractor to come to Evanston to build homes.
