Especially for smartwatches even Samsung says wear a finger space below the wrist bone in the heart rate setup settings. Coming from a Gear S3 Frontier, I gotta admit I am used to 45mm. However, tried out 45mm Galaxy Watch 3 today and it really doesn't feels right on my wrist (size: 6.5 inch). This video had helped me to make a decision. Thanks!
41mm looks much better on you and I think the stainless steel silver adds a nice accent. Since you have both now that would be the one I wear out for formal occasions. The 45mm is nice because of more screen and battery, but it does look huge on you and a bit awkward.
I'm torn. Coming from the 46mm galaxy watch i really wanted the black on black, but settled with the silver to get the bigger battery. No regrets. But! Now that I have the option to do the black or silver, I almost think the silver has grown on me. Great work in this video and thank you for this content!

Really appreciate you getting both to compare! Not sure if I noticed it, but it seemed like the 45mm even had some shakiness to it, because of the bulk. I'm definitely on the slimmer side as well, and whole-heartedly agree that the 41mm looks better on you. Thanks for helping me choose!
They put a bigger battery in the bigger watch because you have more display and drain on the battery. In reverse for the smaller watch so maybe the difference in battery life should not be that different or marginal.
Went to Best Buy this past weekend with all the intention to buy a FitBit Sense. When I asked the sales-rep to open the case, he said "Get the GW3 instead." Turned out that he was a Samsung fan (like myself) and we went over all the features together. He showed me his GW3 and let me try it on my wrist so I can decide whether 41mm or 45mm looked better. Long story short - I am so glad I bought the GW3 41mm. So far, it's a great piece of tech with a large array of features in such a small package. Well worth the conversation and price ($299 USD).
My wrist is the same size as yours. I'm currently wearing the Active 2 44mm. Without the rotating bezel it fits me pretty well. I think the difference is your hands are bigger. No reason you can't wear the bigger one. I'm not sure I can though. I really want it though. I haven't decided. I'd like to see a comparison between the watch 3 and active 2.
Sorry, your video was a bit unfair. You should compare the silver 45 with the silver 41 on the executive wrist band. The Black looks extraordinarily large in your video. I have a similar build and the 45 looks small in silver. When I unboxed it I thought Samsung sent me the wrong size but it had the right circumference.
I ordered the 45mm. Mine's coming tomorrow. Black on black. My wrist measures at exactly 6.5in. Traded in my Galaxy Watch so Samsung gave me $100 off of the GW3. I liked how the GW looked but that thing was just too heavy. I also have a GWA2 44mm and the size is nice on my wrist and is quite light. Smaller watches look better on my wrist but I'd rather have more screen. It makes it easier to read

As someone with very large arms I have been rocking the Galaxy Active and it looks funny to me in photos but feels so comfortable. I'm hoping the 41mm actually isn't too big and a ton of button presses from my fat hand. Also got silver but wanted black.
The 41 mm fits you better. I’m muscular so I have to rock nothing but Big Faces. The 3 looks too similar to my Samsung Watch. But.... the battery life and Blood pressure sensor, oxygen sensor, ECG, yeah it’s worth an upgrade. If I didn’t Love my Apple Watch I would get one now. If the 41 mm you have comes in 45 mm then I might get one. I like a little bit of silver in mines. I will wait to see what Apple series 6 watch is gonna do. If no Blood pressure, no oxygen sensor, no 2 to 5 day battery life like Samsung, then I got to get the 45 Samsung Watch 3. Great Video too as always.
I can't seem to get my GW3 to charge on my old charger for my GS3 Frontier...It keeps flashing red. I like that charger better because it goes off of direct electrical current (fast charging) and sits the watch upright, while the one that came with the new watch is USB, sits flat, and charges much slower. 🥴

In my country , there is 41m in bronze only , witch i don't like this color cuz it doesn't fit everything I wear . But 45 mm in black, witch is the color i love , i feel it's look big on my hand. I am really confuse witch one should i buy. Edit: I bought 45mm in black and it looks BEAUTIFUL.

Great vid! I have the same problem, man. Currently have a Versa 2 (40mm) and an Active 2 (40mm) and they both look girly on my skinny wrist. 45mm is a beast though. If they just made a 42mm, I'd be sold.

I've had my Samsung galaxy watch since launch. Im a slim guy and I've never felt uncomfortable. In fact, i like the weight and it looks so premium. Id get a watch3 but there aren't enough reasons to spend 400 on it for me

I'm using this as a reference for the galaxy watch 4. My issue is I'm skinny guy who is exactly 6 inch circumference. The watch four comes in 46mm or 42mm now the choice is simple, I go with 42mm but the active version has a 44mm and the face of the watch is more screen than watch so that leaves me with two options The 42 mm classic or the 44mm active. As a skinny guy 45mm looked too big but does 44mm make enough if a difference to choose this instead?

Hi CJ, does the new SSW read the complete text message or email to you when you use the samsung earbuds. Or does it just tell you you have a notification. Also if you wear the watch on your left wrist and you have the earbuds on and you are streaming stored music while running or walking does the bluetooth connection sporadically drop out?
Do you know if the black case if it gets scuffs easily and it will show the silver color of the stainless steel ? This black color is the best but might not agree as well as the silver color. I remember my old S3 Frontier getting lots of scratches on the case and the paint was removed ... so when I got two years ago my GW ,I was happy that the case was in stainless steel silver, no paint.

41's dope but the 45's in need of a sleeker band... plus I can't get with a watch that needs to be recharged like a phone.... then again... are those watches totally silent?
One good thing about these Galaxy watches is they can go multiple days depending on use so you don't charge as often as your phone but that is a point. You can make them totally silent, Vibrate, etc.
I was in your boat for a long time when it came to charging a watch every day.. Every "smart" watch I got in the past I focused on battery life.. I can tell you the watch 3 and active 3 can last me about 3 days on a charge. I also found it useful to charge while I showered since that was the only time I take off my watch and that would easily give an extra 20% battery life for the day.

I'm small, but I wish the 41mm was black on black too. Battery and screen on the other is bigger too. Hard decision for me. But u could use those protective covers to change the color as well as change the bands. Im torn. This would be my first smart watch when I choose which one.
I currently have an Amazfit Bip watch that is getting long in the tooth, but has served me well. So I was trying to decide between the Active 2 40mm and 44mm as an upgrade for my small Asian wrists. I was leaning towards the 40mm because I will use this as a 24/7 fitness watch and can sacrifice a little battery life in favor of comfort. Swinging a golf club and sleeping with a bulky watch doesn't sound very appealing. Also the Active 2 is cheaper than the Galaxy watch 3 with nearly the same functionality at a substantially lower price point. And with the money that I'll save, I'll probably buy the Amazfit Bip S watch to use while the Active 2 is recharging.

You also have to consider it being easier to read and see with a slightly bigger actual screen. The cost being a slightly lower pixel density.

In my country , there is 41m in bronze only , witch i don't like this color cuz it doesn't fit everything I wear . But 45 mm in black, witch is the color i love , i feel it's look big on my hand. I am really confuse witch one should i buy.

It fit me close to last few holes on it tho. But replacement bands are inexpensive and easy to get if need be

Great vid! I have the same problem, man. Currently have a Versa 2 (40mm) and an Active 2 (40mm) and they both look girly on my skinny wrist. 45mm is a beast though. If they just made a 42mm, I'd be sold.
So with the difference of battery size between the two watches. How much difference in battery life is there? Does a smaller screen size use less power and offset the battery size
I've had my Samsung galaxy watch since launch. Im a slim guy and I've never felt uncomfortable. In fact, i like the weight and it looks so premium. Id get a watch3 but there aren't enough reasons to spend 400 on it for me

I'm using this as a reference for the galaxy watch 4. My issue is I'm skinny guy who is exactly 6 inch circumference. The watch four comes in 46mm or 42mm now the choice is simple, I go with 42mm but the active version has a 44mm and the face of the watch is more screen than watch so that leaves me with two options
The 42 mm classic or the 44mm active. As a skinny guy 45mm looked too big but does 44mm make enough if a difference to choose this instead?

Also if you wear the watch on your left wrist and you have the earbuds on and you are streaming stored music while running or walking does the bluetooth connection sporadically drop out?
Do you know if the black case if it gets scuffs easily and it will show the silver color of the stainless steel ? This black color is the best but might not agree as well as the silver color.
I remember my old S3 Frontier getting lots of scratches on the case and the paint was removed ... so when I got two years ago my GW ,I was happy that the case was in stainless steel silver, no paint.

41's dope but the 45's in need of a sleeker band... plus I can't get with a watch that needs to be recharged like a phone.... then again... are those watches totally silent?
One good thing about these Galaxy watches is they can go multiple days depending on use so you don't charge as often as your phone but that is a point. You can make them totally silent, Vibrate, etc.
I was in your boat for a long time when it came to charging a watch every day.. Every "smart" watch I got in the past I focused on battery life.. I can tell you the watch 3 and active 3 can last me about 3 days on a charge. I also found it useful to charge while I showered since that was the only time I take off my watch and that would easily give an extra 20% battery life for the day.

What straps are you using on the 45mm?
I'm small, but I wish the 41mm was black on black too. Battery and screen on the other is bigger too. Hard decision for me. But u could use those protective covers to change the color as well as change the bands. Im torn. This would be my first smart watch when I choose which one.

I currently have an Amazfit Bip watch that is getting long in the tooth, but has served me well. So I was trying to decide between the Active 2 40mm and 44mm as an upgrade for my small Asian wrists. I was leaning towards the 40mm because I will use this as a 24/7 fitness watch and can sacrifice a little battery life in favor of comfort. Swinging a golf club and sleeping with a bulky watch doesn't sound very appealing. Also the Active 2 is cheaper than the Galaxy watch 3 with nearly the same functionality at a substantially lower price point. And with the money that I'll save, I'll probably buy the Amazfit Bip S watch to use while the Active 2 is recharging.
I'm kinda thinking 41mm .. it's still a big watch .. You could also get the bronze abs change out for black or Choc Brown strap ..

Can you charge Watch 3 using charger from Galaxy Watch? I prefer keep old charger, looks nicer for me.
