@Wine For The People
Different Drop are throwing you boys some great curveballs in recent weeks! Makes for great watching, and as ever you’re doing a valiant job 👏
Best wine channel on youtube. I can't overstate how much I look forward to these videos every week.
Aw shucks! Thank you so much!
totally!
YESS! Couldn’t agree more.
Ah you're the best!
Thank you!!!
I prefer Australian Riesling over German Riesling. There is something about Australia and the wine making there that impresses me.

Loved the story on the last wine. Love the tight community of independent winemakers in SA. Love how things in SA are that a mate of a mate of a mate did a thing for this winery so you bought a case on mates rates to support it, and you actually end up getting AMAZING booze you would've happily paid more than double for it. Great stuff (pay your invoices Noah).
Ah you're most welcome! We're a close-knit group here in South Australia!
Old vine Grenache are Australia's greatest wines. It's taking time but in the last decade they are increasingly being recognized as that mid point between the exuberant, plummy, chocolatey Aussie style and elegance of higher acid, fresher red berry styles. Often mistaken for Pinot as we see here.
And that's not just Old Vine Grenache either! There are plenty of changes occurring to Australian Grenache as a whole, as it transitions to being more cultural relevant in it's own country!
Sam’s wines are superb. The lowke Shiraz and the flaxman were a stunning 2nd vintage. Looking forward to the next iteration and the new artworks.
They're killer aren't they?!
Great bracket, I got to try some Flaxman valley wines, something I’ve never tried before
Thank you! Was seriously awesome to try - Flaxman Valley is seriously underrated!
"its an orange wine so it is challenging to guess variety" thats because, in white wine, all you are doing is guessing the typicity, style and technology that comes with it and not the variety. you are not guessing Chardonnay because variety express itself better in white wine but because, if wine has been aged on a lees and been in oak for 3 year, it is likely a Chardonnay and not Pinot Gris:)
I see where you're coming from! It's largely what we're traditionally anchored to, of course!
Hi Gents, would love to see you drink some wines from the Coonawarra region! Born and raised down south in think they are pretty tasty, would love to know your thoughts on the area.
WE'D love to drink some wines from Coonawarra! The brackets are decided upon by Different Drop - to keep our prying eyes out of it! Hopefully some Coonawarra comes soon!
When in doubt yell at Laughy
Link for the toucan shirt? 😅
Hahaha! Passed it on to find out!
fun fact: you cant smell mousyness :)
Hmm yes and no - not in a literal sense - but you can certainly smell hyper-oxidation, which is one of the main causes of mousiness. So often we can be anchored to hyper-ox characters in the aroma, that might lead us to guess that a wine will be mousy, before actually tasting it.
