Thank you for making this video. It was super helpful. I think your prices are on target for what I am seeing on Etsy And other sellers on TH-cam. It was nice to see the smallest to biggest plushies comparably pricing. I hope you do really well!
I just found you & subscribed & was excited to see you're a fellow Aussie!! Great job with all of your crochet & pricings. They're all really cute! I'm not patient enough to crochet amis, so most of my crochet is blankets, shawls & baby clothing. My only thought was that maybe the large wooden stand at the end would be good on top of the end of the table for some height for people to see things from a distance. Also, it might stop items being stolen from the bottom shelves when you're unable to see what they're doing with them! I hope you market goes well. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
That is a great idea. I purchased another stand from Kmart, so now I have 2. I will definitely give that a go. Thank you😊 I hope all is well in SA, I'm up here in QLD☺️
Good luck!! These are... SO MANY!!! I am having my first market in two weeks, have done some stuff, but not as much and now Im getting STRESSED!! :D last minute grind, lets goooo!!
Lucky!! I love it❤️ I have so many names to choose from now. I'm sending you love and luck for your market in 2 weeks. I'm sure everything will go well☺️
Hope you do well at your market and don't worry a lot of us do markets completely on our own, just don't eat anything until the market is over and drink slowly
Could I ask you a question about selling crochet items? I struggle with being a perfectionist, so even the smallest, microscopic flaw makes me anxious and wonder if it’s unfit to sell. I know it might be difficult to answer, but what do you deem as sellable and unfit for sale? Like… a ‘hole’ (spacing between stitches) being big enough to see stuffing or leaving a shadow kind of thing. Or maybe accidentally doing one or two over yarn stitches when the whole thing is supposed to be under? I hope this makes sense, I struggle with English 😅 I want to sell high quality stuff like you someday, but don’t what faults are unforgivable and what is only huge in my head.
I am so anxious about selling my creations too, but if you never try you’ll never know! I can’t tell you what’s unfit for sale all you can do is give it a go😊 start by selling to friends or gifting to break the nerves, I hope this helps❤️✨
Honestly the best thing to do is set up at a market and people will absolutely let you know if theyre worth selling or not. Minor flaws are mostly only noticed by the artist anyway.
If you're a perfectionist, such as myself, you'll see what seems like "glaring" mistakes every time. The thing is, most of your customers won't have any idea that there is an imperfection in the work. Even when pointed out, a lot will still struggle to see what you're talking about. To be honest, even a lot of other crochet artists won't notice. Maybe the more veteran artists might, but at that point, they are typically going to be encouraging and not putting the quality of your work down. They might offer a few helpful tips or suggestions, but I would say even that is rare. Overall, most will just focus on how adorable the pieces are. And remember, these items are HANDMADE. There are going to be mistakes here and there. Every piece will differ slightly. Your mood can affect your tension, even if it's just a tiny bit. So you can make 50 turtles with the same pattern and yarn, but they'll all be unique in their own way. My point is, I get being a perfectionist, but you have to get out of your own head. You're keeping your wonderful creations from children who will adore them for years to come because you're being your own worst critic.
I feel the same way! Any flaw in my project and I think it's not fit to sell lol. Even unavoidable "flaws" that are just a result of the stitch used or the way the color has to be changed. I haven't tried selling anything yet but I'm pretty sure others will not notice the things that bother me.
@@leal.3044as someone in the US, I don’t think it’s bad even if it was USD. I’ve seen people charge waaayyy more for less. These take time, effort and skill.
I actually feel that your prices are a little low. You do great work, so don't undervalue your time and talents. In the end, you know your demographics and how things sell in your area, not all these people here, lol. I've been told my prices were too high, but I sell out all the time. You do you and let these voices here slide. Hopefully, most people genuinely want to help. Great video! ❤

I like your work. Unless you live in a very affluent neighborhood, your prices are too high. Good luck with your market
Its australian dollar... It should be a bit less in USD. I think the prices are fine.
@@leal.3044as someone in the US, I don’t think it’s bad even if it was USD. I’ve seen people charge waaayyy more for less. These take time, effort and skill.
Yeah i did the conversion on the octo prices and thats only 6.50 in USD. I sell mine for $5
Actually, these prices are pretty low for any market. Don't undervalue handmade crafts.
